Little League World Series 2012 Schedule: Predicting Championship Round Games
The Little League World Series schedule is tenuous but is beginning to fill itself out as the kids continue to charge towards the championship game one-week from today.
Monday’s schedule is already partially set but it will have to wait to finalize for Sunday’s action in order to fill in the blanks.
The United States, victorious in six of the past seven tournaments, has already lost two teams to elimination. Nebraska and Oregon were eliminated from contention after their second losses on Saturday.
Two world teams are gone as well. Uganda and Germany were blown out Saturday to end their contention. They will still play consolation matches against the two U.S. teams on Monday and Tuesday, respectively.
After Sunday’s action, there will be only four teams without losses. Those teams will have bye’s until Wednesday when they will all square off against each other.
Wednesday’s battle of the unbeaten is when the men get separated from the boys.
Look for Japan, Panama, California and Indiana to advance while the others will still have their chances at redemption on Tuesday as they will square off against the winners from Saturday.
Japan and Panama both seem the have the most full squads in this year's tournament. Don't be surprised if they end up squaring off on Wednesday in what could be a preview of the championship game.
