Manchester United Transfer Rumors: Javier Hernandez Not Needed After RVP Move
Javier Hernandez must be sold by Manchester United following the club's transfer of last year's Premier League golden boot winner Robin van Persie from Arsenal.
The Mexican, who is entering his third season at Old Trafford, is believed to be frustrated that he will likely receive fewer opportunities to start this season. Per the Daily Mirror:
"United striker Javier Hernandez, having dropped down the front-line pecking order at United with the arrival of van Persie, could move the other way to Arsenal.
Hernandez, who endured a difficult second season at United last term, is said to be frustrated at the inevitable lack of opportunities to start now van Persie has joined, amid unconfirmed reports he has told Ferguson he wants to leave.

Hernandez looked like one of the best signings of the last decade after the 2010-11 season, when he scored 20 goals in all competitions for Alex Ferguson's squad in just his first year in England.
However, with Van Persie, Wayne Rooney, Danny Welbeck and Dimitar Berbatov giving the United squad enough attacking players, the Mexican is no longer needed at Old Trafford.
Not only does United's tremendous goalscoring depth make Hernandez expendable, he also didn't perform well last season.
Many were expecting another fantastic campaign for the Mexican in his sophomore season in England, but he only scored 12 goals in all competitions last year.
If Hernandez isn't going to get much playing time next season, then there's no reason for Ferguson to have him sit on the bench when he could get a nice transfer fee for the young star.
Hernandez is a fine young player, so it's hard to imagine United having a tough time selling him if that's the decision they ultimately make. With enough playing time, he could be a top-tier goal scorer for many more years.
The best move for the future of the club and Hernandez is for the two to part ways, and both sides would be wise to make a move as soon as possible.
