Golfers to Watch
Tiger Woods
Woods would love to capture his first major since his off-the-course problems, but it isn't looking so good for him at the moment. After entering the third day with a share of the lead, Woods is three over after seven holes and has fallen five shots back.
While he was once well-known for playing his best on Sunday, Woods hasn't been as dominant on the final day of majors and must overcome that if he wants to win.
It will be an uphill climb for one of the greatest golfers ever to live, but if anyone is capable of pulling it off, it's Tiger when he's at his best.
Rory McIlroy
McIlroy suffered a collapse of epic proportions at the 2010 PGA Championship but he has a great opportunity to erase that memory and become the youngest golfer ever to win his second major.
Tied atop the leaderboard with Vijay Singh, McIlroy will have to finish strong if he wants to ward off his closest competitor. History has taught us that McIlroy finishing strong is no certainty, but putting that aside, he couldn't be in a better position to win a major than he is now.
In all, it should be a 27-hole day for McIlroy, who is playing his best golf as this tournament comes to a close.
Vijay Singh
Singh, much like Ernie Els at the Open Championship, has a great shot to shock the world as he's tied atop the leaderboard going into Sunday.
Singh hasn't won a major since he took the PGA Championship in 2004 and could make himself relevant again by winning his fourth major.
Singh has remained consistent throughout the first three days of this tourney and there's no reason to suspect this veteran golfer won't do the same on Sunday. If there's anyone in this tournament who knows how to win in a tough spot, it's Vijay.
Adam Scott
Scott comes into Sunday as a sentimental favorite of sorts after his disappointing collapse at the Open Championship.
The Australian is still looking for his first major to cement himself as one of the sport's elite golfers, and being one stroke back puts him in a great spot to do just that.
This time around, Scott won't have the "he should win" pressure of being ahead by a bunch of strokes—and maybe that will help him relax enough to capture the PGA Championship crown.
