Players to Watch: Brazil
Neymar
Despite his young age, there are few better forwards in the world than the 20-year-old Neymar.
The Brazilian is expected to move to a La Liga club in Spain soon, and it is because those teams know that he has the skill to play there immediately.
He has performed well for the Brazil national team, and he should be the one to put pressure on the defense throughout the match. Neymar has only three goals so far, but he will look to get another one on the biggest stage of his career.
Leandro Damiao
There has been no one better at putting the ball in the back of the net in these Olympics than Leandro Damiao. The striker leads all players with six goals, including two against Honduras and two in the semifinals against South Korea.
He has been key for Brazil as defenses continue to focus on Neymar. Until teams change their strategies, Damiao will keep scoring and Brazil will win the gold.
Players to Watch: Mexico
Oribe Peralta
Ordinarily, Giovani dos Santos would be the go-to scorer for the Mexican team. Unfortunately, Yahoo! Sports reports that the star player will miss the final against Brazil.
Peralta will need to pick up the slack on the offensive end, but he is a very good scorer in his own right. He had an impressive goal against Japan and will need to continue that trend if he wants to win this game.
Jose Corona
The goalkeeper for Mexico has been inconsistent, but he needs to play his best for Mexico to take home the gold medal.
Corona is the captain of the squad and had three shutouts in the preliminary round but has allowed three goals in the last two games.
He needs to get his defense refocused to shutdown the high-scoring offense of Brazil.
