WWE SummerSlam 2012: How Epic Triple H vs. Brock Lesnar Battle Must End
Of all the matches on the SummerSlam card, the only one that will resonate with people long after the event is over will be Triple H vs. Brock Lesnar. This is the match of the show with many ways for it to end, but what is the best way for both superstars and the business?
WWE has a habit of not looking at what is in the best interest of business in order to appease the powerful people behind the scenes. It is very much a case of the rich getting richer, while everyone else has to be put in their place.

Lesnar is obviously not a poor man, nor do I think he cares whether he wins or loses, because he is getting paid either way. That said, he has to go over in this match. Everyone knows he should, but getting WWE to pull the trigger on it is another story.
WWE is going to have big plans for Lesnar heading into WrestleMania. So having him lose his first two matches back instantly kills a lot of his drawing power; he becomes just another name who lost to John Cena and Triple H.
The addition of Shawn Michaels and Paul Heyman to the match adds a dynamic that I don't particularly care for, nor do I want to think about.
Instead, just focusing on the two men in the match—Lesnar and Triple H—the best direction for this match to take is similar to the one Lesnar had with Cena at Extreme Rules: brutal, vicious and bloody. It doesn't need to be an exact recreation of what Cena and Lesnar did, but the tone and feel of the match should be the same.
The only difference is the finish. Instead of putting Triple H—who, despite what he would have you believe, does not need the rub in this match—over, WWE has to show support for Lesnar to make him a larger-than-life monster who can destroy anyone in his path.
Lesnar has to stand taller than he ever has at the end of this match. He can't get a fluke victory because someone hit Triple H with a sledgehammer. Triple H has to be unable to walk after the referee counts the pinfall or orders the bell for a submission.
If WWE wants to make money with Lesnar, instead of using him to get people over who don't need the rub, this is the last chance to do it.
Having Lesnar lose to Cena was a mistake, but WWE will get a slight mulligan if it does right by him in this match. Since Triple H is his opponent, I have no reason to expect this to happen. But it would be so much better for everyone involved if Lesnar was standing over everyone else when SummerSlam is over.
