Olympic Gymnastics TV Schedule: Power Ranking USA's Best Remaining Shots at Gold

Richard LangfordJun 7, 2018

Team USA is not done racking up gymnastics medals just yet. With just one day of competition and four events left, it would be a surprise if the Americans did not add three more medals.

The final day of action will come Tuesday. NBC will be all over this, but in their own special way. To help simplify that, in case you actually want to watch this action, here is the TV schedule.

Gymnastics Schedule for Tuesday, August 7

USA's Medal Contender Power Rankings

No. 3: Jordyn Wieber, Floor Exercise

Wieber is one of just three gymnasts to post a score of at least 15 on the floor exercise in either the qualifying or team competition. Of those three, she had the lowest scores.

With the floor exercise being Wieber's only shot at individual gold for these Olympic Games, she is going to come out fired up and ready to dazzle, and throw out her highest score yet.

It is expecting too much to predict a gold here for Wieber, but silver is not out of the question, and it would be a shock if she didn't get at least a bronze.

No. 2: Danell Leyva, High Bar

Danell Leyva is money on the high bar. He dazzled the crowd with a 15.700 on this apparatus in the individual all-around competition.

Leyva is consistently excellent in this event. He would have to turn in a completely uncharacteristic poor showing to not medal.

That said, he is not the only gymnast in the event that can say this. China's Zou Kai and Japan's Kohei Uchimura both excel in this event.

No. 1: Aly Raisman, Floor Exercise

Raisman has been dominant on the floor while in London. She scored a 15.325 in qualifying, a 15.300 in the team competition and a 15.133 in the individual all-around. No one else has come close to matching this level of consistency and excellence.

If she nails her routine, she won't be beaten, and she will probably knock it out of the park.

There is no way Raisman leaves without a medal in this competition, and it will likely be gold.
