Mickey Rourke Denies He Will Wrestle at Wrestlemania 25
Mickey Rourke appeared last night on England's Channel 4 program "Friday Night with Jonathan Ross," and claimed he has no intention of wrestling at Wrestlemania 25.
"I was going to wrestle, but after I started listening to people other than me, they won't allow me to do it," said Rourke.
Rourke will find out Sunday at the Oscars if he takes the Best Actor award for “The Wrestler.” Some believe his decision could change after the ceremony.

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
Many had tipped Rourke to face Chris Jericho in April at Houston, but it would appear that this will not be the case. Ric Flair and Roddy Piper have both confronted Jericho recently and are both contenders to replace Rourke, along with Stone Cold Steve Austin.
Rourke will more than likely appear at Wrestlemania, but in a non-wrestling role taking part in Jericho’s anti-legend angle. It would be good to see Rourke in Texas, even if he is not in action.
Although some fans may be disappointed, it may not be such a bad thing; Rourke has no experience in the ring, and risking him in a match at Wrestlemania 25 could backfire.
Rourke was really fun to watch in the interview and was very respectful of the wrestling community, giving thanks to the likes of Flair, Piper, and Vince McMahon. I for one wish him luck for Sunday, and look forward to seeing him in any role at Wrestlemania.
