CM Punk: What to Make of the WWE Champion's Actions on RAW 1000
WWE Champion CM Punk brought a confusing end to Raw 1,000 on Monday night in St. Louis. It wasn't so much what Punk did on Monday as it was who he did it to.
Punk turned heel on the WWE's historic night, going from "best in the world" to a villain in one fell swoop. Punk knocked out The Rock in the middle of the People's Champ's assault on Big Show, who had caused Punk and John Cena's WWE Championship fight to be disqualified after entering the ring and bludgeoning Cena.
Punk has never been the caliber of superstar that Cena has been throughout his WWE career, but at the same time, never before have we seen him go against the grain so brutally.

Punk's violent GTS on Rock was a slap in the face to every fan in attendance, who no doubt came to see Rock deliver a whooping and reestablish his dominance in the sport. But now that Punk has become less favorable in the eyes of many, the door is open for Rock to bring him what he has coming and to snatch the title belt.
Punk lost a lot of support for his actions on Raw 1,000. Meanwhile, Rock gained sympathy after he was wrongfully attacked by Punk in the process of defending the popular John Cena.
Punk's actions left a lot to be desired from the current WWE Champion. His wide-eyed exit from the ring and casual stride made him look like a heartless champion with zero respect for those who came before him.
For Rock, it can't end how it ended at Raw 1,000. Arguably the greatest champion in WWE history, Rock must defend himself and make things right at an upcoming pay-per-view event.
A matchup between Punk and Rock seems inevitable after the drama inside the ring Monday night—that's for sure. There is a storm brewing on Raw, and CM Punk will receive the worst of it.
