Boston Red Sox Minor Leaguer Has Worst Stat Line in History
Meet Shaq Green-Thompson.
Thompson was drafted by Ben Cherington and the Boston Red Sox in the 18th round of this year's MLB draft.
Thompson just graduated high school and just so happens to also be a five-star recruit for football and will be attending the University of Washington this fall to play safety for the football team.

Yankees Call Up 6'7" Prospect 📈
He is very athletic and when he was drafted by the Red Sox it was thought that his raw talent could be turned into something greater before he goes to play football in college.
Oh how the Red Sox were wrong.
Shaq Thompson has played in 12 games for the Gulf Coast League Red Sox, which is just about the lowest of the minor league levels.
Thompson has stepped up to the plate 45 times. Of those 45 times, he has walked eight times.
For the 37 registered plate appearances remaining, Thompson is 0-37 with 36 strikeouts.
Let me repeat.
0-37.
36 strikeouts.
Clearly baseball is not about how athletic you are, but how well you can play the game because that is far and away the worst stat line that I have ever seen in my life.
And you ask, what about the one time he didn't strike out? Don't worry, he grounded out and got a RBI.
It baffles me that Cherington would waste a draft pick, even if it was in the 18th round, on a player with such little baseball experience and clearly no feel for the game.
Though, in the end, Shaq Thompson thank you for taking up the mantle as the worst professional baseball player in both the major and minor leagues.
Now please remove yourself from the Boston Red Sox organization.
