Cena and Ziggler Win WWE Money in the Bank: Did the Right People Win the Cases?
John Cena and Dolph Ziggler walked in to the Money in the Bank PPV with the same goal: to walk out with a briefcase guaranteeing them a title shot.
Both men achieved their goals as they triumphed over several other superstars to take home those red and blue metal cases.
The first match featured Dolph Ziggler facing off against seven other superstars, including former world champion Christian and star-on-the-rise Cody Rhodes.

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
Cena went over Big Show, Kane, Chris Jericho and last-minute entrant The Miz to win Raw's briefcase in the closing moments of the show.
While it could all be part of the story, it seemed as if Cena was shocked when the handle broke on the case he had his hands on while he was trying to hit Big Show with it.
Maybe he was not the intended winner, maybe he was. Either way, he walked out with the case and so did the kid who finally made good, Dolph Ziggler.
Cena winning got a nice reaction, but it was clear to anyone who watched the show on PPV that the crowd was heavily behind the Ayatollah of Rock 'n Rolla.
Jericho said they were not going to have a spot-fest because they had nothing to prove before the show, but the five men in the match did prove something.
They proved that a ladder match does not need a bunch of high spots to be entertaining. The match with these five former champions was very well executed.
The SmackDown match, which started the show, was more akin to what we are used to seeing in these matches.
Sin Cara, Tyson Kidd, Christian and Cody Rhodes all contributed some exciting moments during the show. Ziggler was thrown with such force at one point by Tensai that I was convinced he was out of the match until he came back in out of nowhere.
Both matches showed two very different approaches that both seemed to work, which is why the winners worked.
Cena's match featured more brutal action while Ziggler's had the excitement we were all hoping it would have.
These two could not be any more separate in their rises through the ranks of WWE, and maybe that is why they were both the right choices to win their matches.
John Cena represents the current top stars of the WWE. He is a decade into an incredibly successful run which has seen him do things no one would have been able to predict when he came out to face Kurt Angle 10 years ago.
Dolph Ziggler represents the future of WWE. He has scratched and clawed his way to where he is against a very strong set of odds.
He was sent back to developmental not once, but twice, something that could normally be seen as a death sentence by WWE superstars.
He overcame being Chavo's caddy, he moved past the cheerleader gimmick and, lastly, he stopped having to introduce himself to everyone because he is now someone who you have to be aware of.
For all the bodybuilders who have held the title, there are probably 100 guys who are smaller but want it just as bad.
Ziggler may have a great physique, but he is small by normal WWE standards and is lucky to be a part of a new generation where it seems like anyone of any size can claim the top prize in WWE.
Rey Mysterio, Daniel Bryan, Jeff Hardy, CM Punk and Miz all proved their critics wrong and Ziggler is on pace to be right up there with them.
His long journey has finally paid off, unless WWE decides to make him the first person to fail at cashing in his briefcase.
John Cena is someone who I see making a match in advance for his case since he is portrayed as the most noble and moral of superstars.
Ziggler already seems to be looking to do a standard cash-in, judging by the fact that he already tried once but had his head kicked off before the match even started.
Raw is sure to reveal the intentions of one or both of these superstars and, with the 1000th Raw right around the corner, it seems very likely that we could see someone cash in their case in the next couple of weeks.
Do you think the right people won the briefcases at Money in the Bank?
