WWE Money in the Bank 2012: Examining Hot Rumors About Tonight's Event
If Wade Barrett is entered into either of the championship contract matches, it'll do wonders for the event. Joe Thunder of Wrestling Edge is one person who wants to see Barrett battle for a contract to fight for a shot at the World Heavyweight championship.
The match is already crowded, with Damien Sandow, Tyson Kidd, Lord Tensai, Dolph Ziggler, Santino, Christian, Cody Rhodes and Sin Cara competing.
Thunder thinks it's possible that room may be made for Barrett.

He writes: "I still have a sneaking suspicion that Wade Barrett could find himself in this match (taking out Tensai or even Kidd). If Barrett enters, I suspect Barrett to win."
I think it would be an excellent spot for Barrett to appear. It's obvious he should be a part of the event. I still think the logical winner of this match is Dolph Ziggler, but a feud between Ziggy and Barrett that begins tonight would be great.
Another obvious omission from the card is that of the Miz. He has been getting shafted for the last five or six months, and his role has steadily decreased.
He was recently asked if he would be at Money in the Bank. He responded with this via Twitter, (the tweet contains some language):
"Only of wwe recognizes my talent RT @RyanBitch: @mikethemiz Will you be at the Money In The Bank PPV Sunday? #TeamCobra
— The Miz (@mikethemiz) July 14, 2012"
It's hard to make heads or tails of that, but it's clear the Miz is close to the bottom of the barrel in the WWE right now.
Lastly, is Chris Jericho turning face tonight?
If you examine recent quotes from the Ayatollah on wwe.com, speaking to Tom Herrera and James Wortman, you can detect a much more subdued Jericho. He's less braggadocios and more reflective. He said this of the upcoming Money in the Bank Ladder match for a WWE title contract:
"I think you're going to see four guys that come out of there feeling every moment of the match, and feeling every moment of our careers. After doing this for 22 years, I get into a match like this knowing that I'll feel every match I've had in those 22 years.
"
It would make sense for Jericho to turn face now. Coming off the flag controversy in Brazil, and with his career winding down, it seems time to go into complete fan-friendly mode.
Even though Jericho is such a popular figure, his face/heel status is almost irrelevant. Still, it seems customary for him to go this route.
We'll have to watch and see how this unfolds.
