Zlatan Ibrahimovic: New PSG Striker Will Be a Scoring Machine in Ligue 1
Zlatan Ibrahimovic has joined Paris Saint Germain (via Gazzetta dello Sport), along with AC Milan teammate Thiago Silva for the 2012-13 season, and the Swedish striker will be a scoring a machine in Ligue 1.
Former Marseille star Josip Skoblar's Ligue 1 single-season record of 44 goals that he set during the 1970-71 season could be in danger this year as Ibrahimovic squares off against a lot of mediocre defenses that won't be able to stop him from finding the back of the net.
PSG now have a squad capable of making a deep run in the Champions League, but their domination in Ligue 1 will be just as exciting to watch.

With Montpellier selling Olivier Giroud to Arsenal and Lille selling Eden Hazard to Chelsea during this summer's transfer window, PSG have no excuses if they fail to win the league next season.
Not only would Ibrahimovic's technical skills allow him to score a ton of goals in France, the fact that he will have several world-class teammates around him will make his job of scoring goals much easier.
Ezequiel Lavezzi, Javier Pastore, Jeremy Menez and Nene will all be threats to score in the attacking third of the pitch, and with so many quality players for defenders to worry about, Ibrahimovic will have plenty of opportunities to score.
There are not many quality defensive teams in Ligue 1, and with very few defenders able to cope with the Swedish striker's strength, heading ability and pace, he could easily dominate the league next year and score an incredible amount of goals.
Ibrahimovic led Serie A in goals last season with 28, and if he can have success scoring in Italy and in Spain, then he will certainly have great success in France.
Ibrahimovic will ultimately be judged on his success in the Champions League, where PSG will be expected to at least make the knockout stage. However, the most success he will have in 2012-13 will be in Ligue 1, where he could certainly break some club and league scoring records.
