Big Update on WWE's New Approach to the Divas Division
Is WWE on the verge of taking a drastically different approach with their struggling women's division?
In this week's (subscription needed) F4W Newsletter, Bryan Alvarez offers some very interesting insight into the mentality behind the recent signing of indie sensation Sara Del Rey.
He notes that sources indicate that WWE have grown weary of hiring models with no experience in recent times, primarily due to the great deal of the models-turned-wrestlers that have left the company over the last year or so:

"According to one source, this is WWE's answer to the problem of employing swimsuit models who end up getting frustrated and walking out of the company (Kelly Kelly, Bella Twins, Maryse, Maxine, etc.).
"
He goes on to mention that Del Rey could have another role in WWE: "It is also believed that she will assist in training some of the girls."
If this is indeed the case, WWE's new line of thinking makes sense. Presumably, a passionate veteran like Del Rey (who has stated in the past her long-term ambition has always been to go to WWE) will be willing to stick around longer than a relative newcomer to the business would (Maxine or Maryse, for example).
However, unless WWE solves the problems of what is truly plaguing their division (lack of TV time for the vast majority of the Divas Division, little or no attention paid to their storylines), it's very easy to envisage a scenario in which Del Rey grows frustrated and unhappy like so many women before her.
