Chelsea Transfer Rumors: Victor Moses a Wise Target for Blues' Reserves
Victor Moses may not be able to crack the starting lineup on a regular basis if he moves to Chelsea, but the Blues would still be wise to buy the talented Nigerian and add depth to their attacking lineup.
Alan Nixon of the Mirror reported that Chelsea are set to pay £10 million and outbid Queens Park Rangers for Moses’ services.
This may seem like a lot to pay for a largely unproven player, but the Blues have shown no concerns about overspending during the transfer season.

Moses was instrumental in Wigan’s late surge that kept them out of the bottom three. His signature performance came against Newcastle when he notched a double to lead his side to a 4-0 victory. He finished the year with six goals and one assist.
Roman Abramovich has kept his checkbook open this summer. Chelsea has already purchased Eden Hazard and is a major player in the chase for Porto striker Hulk.
With Juan Mata and Florent Malouda already on the squad, Moses will face plenty of competition for playing time on the wing.
Moses is just 21 years old and has not yet proved himself worthy of a consistent spot in the starting 11 on a side like Chelsea.
He has incredible pace and showed flashes of brilliance with Wigan, but was not always consistent.
He will become steadier with experience, and this is the perfect time for Chelsea to purchase the youngster.
He will have to pay his dues and spend some time on the bench, but he will gain valuable experience from playing at Stamford Bridge. He will be introduced to an entirely different mentality, which will be characterized by the pressure that comes with playing for a team that expects to win trophies every season.
Moses has the talent to be a top player at Chelsea, but it will take time for him to reach this point. Still, he will have an immediate impact by providing depth at winger.
Moses would be an ideal fit for Chelsea’s short-term and long-term plans.
