SEC Football Tweets of the Week: Isaiah Crowell Speaks Following Arrest
Every Friday on the SEC Blog, we will feature the tweets of the week from SEC players, coaches and media personalities.
Georgia running back Isaiah Crowell made headlines on Friday, when he was arrested on felony charges of carrying a weapon in a school zone, having a weapon with an altered ID mark and misdemeanor charges of carrying a concealed weapon.
He was released on bond Friday afternoon, and immediately took to Twitter.
"I love all my real ppl thats with me..god got me so who can be against me?
— Isaiah Crowell (@iSAIAH_RIP_STEV) June 29, 2012"
Crowell won't the opportunity to find out who's against him this fall, because these are serious charges, and head coach Mark Richt dismissed him because of them.
True freshman Keith Marshall signed with Georgia this season and enrolled early for the specific purpose of competing with Crowell for his starting spot at running back. Marshall provided some words of encouragement for his backfield mate Friday morning.
"Pray for Isaiah & that he will learn from his mistake

Meanwhile, offensive guard Chris Burnette has a suggestion for his teammates.
"TO ALL UGA FOOTBALL PLAYERS: Let's let this die down and keep our comments to ourselves. The doors are locked.
— Chris Burnette (@Chrisburnette68) June 29, 2012"
Georgia may be trying to keep comments in-house, but Auburn defensive linemen Gabe Wright—who played high school football with Crowell in Columbus, Ga.—let his former teammate know that he will always be there for him.
"I stay repping homie, i'll never turn my back on ya! #itiswhatitis..... twitpic.com/a1wnul

My colleague, Adam Kramer, over at Your Best 11 thinks that Mark Richt has lost control of everything.
"Mark Richt has lost control of their marriage. RT @BreakingNews: Report: Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes divorcing

Much like Mike Newhouse on Dazed and Confused, Auburn tight end Philip Lutzenkirchen just wants to dance.
"Excited to start my dance class today.
— Philip Lutzenkirchen (@lutzenkirchen) June 25, 2012"
Have a good weekend, SEC fans.
