Czech Republic vs. Portugal Video: Watch Cristiano Ronaldo's Stunning Header
Was there ever any doubt that Cristiano Ronaldo would find the back of the net in this game?
After hitting the post twice, barely missing on several other opportunities and constantly threatening the Czech Republic, Ronaldo was finally able to give Portugal a 1-0 lead on the beautiful header you've seen above.
Give credit where credit is due—Joao Moutinho played an exceptional first touch and then a perfect cross to Ronaldo, who was cutting in near the back post.

But the header was pristine.
Watching this match, you just felt it was but a matter of time before Ronaldo scored. Much like he's done for this entire tournament, Ronaldo was the dominating force on the pitch. And similar to what we saw against Germany and Denmark, he looked snakebit for much of this match, unable to turn opportunities into goals.
It should be noted that several of the opportunities he created for himself could only be duplicated by a handful of players in the world, so it's hard to critique him too harshly for the chances he didn't finish.
But as he's done all season long and throughout the course of his career, he eventually found the back of the net.
This match wasn't just about Ronaldo—Portugal played a smart, consistent game and controlled the flow throughout. But in the end, it was the country's superstar who came through with the game-winner.
Just the way it should be.
