College Football Recruiting 2013: 5 Recruits Who Have Likely Made Up Their Mind
With committing early such a growing trend in recruiting these days, the recruiting process is starting earlier because for much of the class it is ending sooner.
Some players enjoy going through the process more so than others. To go even more depth in that, some players already know early during the process where they are going well before they announce their decision.
For this read, I'm going to give you five prospects that likely already know where they are going, even though they continue to go through to recruiting process uncommitted.
5. Alex Anzalone, LB
1 of 5Anzalone's recruitment has been one of the most controversial and interesting observations in recent recruiting. We know he committed to Ohio State in the spring only to back out of it due to the contact with an alleged sex offender (from ESPN).
Now Anzalone is fully on the market and a slew of schools are after him. In-state Penn State is a school to watch out for, but I think Anzalone likely feels Florida is where he's headed.
His father went there and the Gators are an incredible program. What's not to like?
4. Tim Williams, DE
2 of 5To be frank, who are we kidding here? Williams is an elite pass-rusher from Baton Rouge, La.
Why he's still uncommitted is a bit mind-boggling to me, because I'd be uber-shocked if he didn't end up at LSU.
The Tigers do an excellent job of locking down their state, and it would be a huge upset to see an elite player from right down the street sign with another program.
3. Stacy Coley, WR
3 of 5According to Chris Snee of Rivals.com, Coley does have some work to do with his academics to qualify.
Yet, I think if he does raise his grades, Florida will be the pick. The Gators lead early in the process per Scout.com, and I think Coley would like to stay in state.
2. Michael Hutchings, LB
4 of 5Hutchings is going through the process and one school seems to be ahead of the pack.
Per Scout.com, Hutchings has USC as his top school, and I think the talented OLB has already made up his mind.
He'll take some trips and likely be impressed on them, but I think he's already sold on USC.
1. Antonio Conner, S
5 of 5Pretty much if you attend South Panola in Mississippi, you graduate and hop on a bus right over to Oxford and go to Ole Miss.
Conner is uncommitted, but I'd be shocked if he ends up anywhere else other than Ole Miss. I think Mississippi State and Alabama will try to change his mind, but the Rebels have already won this race.
