5 NFL Players on New Teams Who Will Put Up Big Numbers in 2012
Some NFL players have ensured productive seasons in 2012 by moving to new teams that run schemes more suited to what they do best. Players like Mario Williams, who will return to a 4-3 front with the Buffalo Bills, can be counted on to post big numbers this season.
Wide receiver Brandon Lloyd's decision to reunite with Josh McDaniels in New England could lead to some monster production for the veteran pass-catcher. Here are five NFL players on new teams who can be counted on to put up big numbers in 2012:
BenJarvus Green-Ellis, RB, Cincinnati Bengals

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
BenJarvus Green-Ellis has finally joined an offense that will perhaps be more inclined to feature his talents as a runner. The tough and durable five-year veteran should see more carries with the Bengals than he did during his stint with the Patriots.
Green-Ellis is the type of efficient, between-the-tackles runner who can provide the ideal complement to quarterback Andy Dalton and A.J. Green. The Bengals will need a balanced attack in the physical AFC North and an increased workload will see Green-Ellis put up big numbers on the ground.
Brandon Marshall, WR, Chicago Bears
Teaming up again with quarterback Jay Cutler will see Brandon Marshall post impressive numbers in 2012. The same partnership allowed Marshall to record consecutive 100-plus-reception and 1200-plus-yard seasons in 2007 and 2008.
The 6'4" 230-pounder immediately becomes the featured receiver for a Chicago Bears offense under the guidance of new coordinator Mike Tice. Marshall finally gives Cutler an elite target to aim for in the Windy City.
Mario Williams, DE, Buffalo Bills
Becoming the primary pass-rusher of the Buffalo Bills' new 4-3 front will see Mario Williams post double-digit sacks in 2012. Williams will be playing in Dave Wannstedt's attacking version of the scheme, which should see him quickly return to his best.
Another major bonus for the former No. 1 overall pick will be the presence of massive tackle tandem Kyle Williams and Marcell Dareus. With those two occupying the middle and Wannstedt's scheming, Williams can expect to have numerous one-on-one matchups to exploit.
David Hawthorne, LB, New Orleans Saints
Despite a miserable stint as head coach of the St. Louis Rams, Steve Spagnuolo has managed to keep his reputation as a defensive genius largely intact. That's particularly good news for new addition David Hawthorne.
The ex-Seattle Seahawks linebacker is an expert blitzer, which makes him an ideal weapon for Spagnuolo's multiple pressure, fire-zone schemes. With Curtis Lofton acting as the thumper in the middle, expect Hawthorne to cause havoc when being rushed from a variety of positions.
Brandon Lloyd, WR, New England Patriots
Brandon Lloyd should thrive in a return to Josh McDaniels' scheme. As a member of the Denver Broncos in 2010, Lloyd accumulated 77 receptions for 1,448-yards under the tutelage of McDaniels.
