NBA Lottery 2012 Start Time: Last-Second Info for Important Event
The NBA draft lottery is more important than Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals between the Boston Celtics and the Miami Heat tonight.
The fate of multiple franchises will be decided with the bounce of 1000 ping-pong balls, while Game 2 is merely one game in a seven-game series.
Former Kentucky Wildcat Anthony Davis is the prize 14 teams are crossing their fingers to get. The Charlotte Bobcats have the best odds at 25 percent, but only three times since 1985 has the team with the best odds actually landed the No. 1 pick.
Can they defy the odds after having the worst season in NBA history?

Here are the two teams who would be a perfect fit for Davis:
Washington Wizards (19.9 Percent Chance of Landing No. 1 Pick)
The Wizards were in the lower third of the league in both scoring defense and rebounding last season and had absolutely no defensive presence in the post once Javale McGee was traded.
Priority No. 1 is getting a defensive-minded player that can run the floor with the high-powered and energetic offense. They need a guy that can strike fear in opponents entering the lane and can register 10 rebounds per game right off the bat.
Sound like someone familiar?
No team is a better match for Davis than the Wizards.
Sacramento Kings (7.6 percent chance of landing No. 1 pick)
The Kings need Davis more than any other team for not only what he can provide on the court…but off it as well.
With the real possibility of the franchise leaving town hanging in the balance, landing a sure-fire star is the only relief for what currently ails this troubled franchise.
The Kings not only ranked dead last in points allowed this season (104.4 per game) but were over three points worse than the 29th place team. Opponents shot 47.6 percent against them, meaning they had no resemblance of a defensive presence inside at all.
DeMarcus Cousins is an offensive force but clearly could care less about defense. If Cousins was paired up next to Davis, the Kings would instantly have one of the best frontlines in the entire sport and might be able to save a dying franchise.
