How Wrestling Killed the Big Man
Remember way back when? You know the time when wrestling was larger then life. Where we were told to say our prayers and eat our vitamins and everyone who stepped into the ring was larger than life?
Remember when wrestling was "real?" Aww, the good ol' days. It's funny how after they acknowledge that wrestling was predetermined that everything truly became fake.
Back in the early '80s, the big men were seen as the beast they truly should be, not the watered down version of today, which is surprising because Vince McMahon loves the big man.

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
But if you look back then to the days of Andre the Giant, King Kong Bundy, and others, large men looked and fought large.
Remember how Andre was not pinned in the WWE for 15 years? Or how he was billed as never to have even been knocked off his feet, although Jim Duggan did it at in outdoor stadium in the rain, until slammed by Hogan at their famous meeting in Detroit?
But now is not the case. The big men aren't that big, and there actually rather soft.
Could you imagine Rey Mysterio upsetting Andre? That would have made for great TV, but it wouldn't have happened.
The whole Katie Vick debacle wouldn't have happened as he wouldn't have been made into a joke.
Now I know these guys aren't as talented as Andre, who went (Broadway) 60 minutes with guys like Harley Race and Nick Bockwinkel. But even though the Great Khali isn't so great, he should be walking through guys.
You can't fake size and it should be used to put fear in opposing wrestlers...and little kids sitting ring side.
I'm not looking for the next Andre, just the first big man in a while with the "it" factor. There's been so many lame attempts, it begs for TNA to turn the X-Division around and give me the complete opposite.
Only time will tell. But how long will we have to wait? Is there anyone out there who can quench my thirst to fear the big man?
