Floyd Mayweather: Cotto Victory Proves 'Money' Is Ready for Pacquiao

It was unanimous, Floyd Mayweather had beaten beaten Miguel Cotto. And while it was a tough battle, "Money" once again proved to be the better boxer. The fight was over and the debate about the possibility of one of the biggest boxing matches in history continued.

It is unanimous, everyone wants to see Money vs Manny. And nobody wants to hear the excuses.

At 35-years-old, Mayweather has consistently proven to be one of the smartest fighters in boxing.  Make a mistake and you pay. Money's counter-fight style is hard to beat, and after a unanimous decision over Cotto, Mayweather will never be more ready for the Pacquiao fight.

Even he agrees. That is, with a couple of strings attached. As Money said in a post-fight interview: "Cotto didn't have the problem taking the random blood and urine tests, why shouldn't Pacquiao? If he's the best, take the test." 

The drug testing doesn't seem to be the only problem either. Pacquiao and his promoter, Bob Arum, want a 50-50 split. Fine, that seems fair.  Arum also does not want the fight to happen until the 45,000-seat boxing stadium is complete in Las Vegas.

Mayweather commented on the situation: "So once he's free from Bob Arum, will the fight happen? Absolutely. But as of now, he's with Bob Arum, so the fight isn't going to happen."

While the two camps continue to squabble over drug testing and money, fans can only sit and wait for a compromise to be made. Time isn't exactly on Mayweather's side, as he is set to serve a 90-day jail sentence for domestic violence and will be turning 36 next year.

How many more fighters will Money have to beat? Will the money issue ever be solved? Will Pacquiao satisfy Money's demands for drug testing?

There's too much talk and not enough fighting.

Mayweather continues to prove he is ready, but he needs to stop making demands and give the fans what they want. The same goes for Pacquiao.

Time is of the essence. If the two camps can't agree soon, fans may never get to see "The Fight."
