Florida Football: Latest News, Injuries and Team Updates
The Florida Gators have wrapped up spring practice and will take these next few months off before the fall arrives and they begin preparing for the regular season. The Gators return majority of their team, including 10 on the defensive side of the ball. The goal for this team is to compete in the SEC and possibly come out of the East to reach the SEC Championship Game.
With the next couple of months off, that doesn't mean that the news stops in the college football world.
Here is the latest Florida Gators news and updates as we inch closer to the 2012 season.
Graham Stewart Transferring to UConn

"“I have some personal family issues that have caused me to evaluate how far I am away from home,” he said. “I appreciate my time in Gainesville and have nothing but good things to say about Coach Muschamp and the staff at Florida, but some things are more important. I really need to be closer to home.”
"
Stewart played in all 12 games as a freshman last season, and the majority of the time was spent on special teams. In the bowl victory over the Ohio State Buckeyes, it was Stewart who returned a block punt for a touchdown.
Florida May Use Two QB's?
2 of 5Throughout the offseason, several college football teams are trying to discover who their starting quarterback is going to be. Good thing for the Gators is that they have two solid options to choose from in Jacoby Brissett and Jeff Driskel.
But while Florida fans are waiting to see who ends up with the starting job, head coach Will Muschamp says he may end up using both this season.

This doesn't usually work for most teams, but due to their different styles of play, it may actually work for this team. Brissett is the strong-armed quarterback, while Driskel is more of a dual-threat who can kill you with his legs.
This could get interesting.
Gator Fans Hanging in There
3 of 5Before Urban Meyer left, the Gators were winning national championships and Tim Tebow was competing for Heisman trophies. During the last two seasons, the Gators have a 15-11 record under head coach Will Muschamp. Most places, the fanbase would be looking to run that coach out of town, but not Florida.
"When you go through the year we went [in 2011] -- which was very frustrating; obviously 7-6 at Florida is not acceptable -- and you get ready to go to these things you wonder what kind of questions you're going to get," Muschamp said. "But really, honestly, it's been very, very positive. (Via ESPN)
"
Gator fans obviously understand that success isn't going to come overnight. The recruiting classes have been fantastic. This year, they return majority of their starters, but a lot of the success will be determined by how well the quarterback plays this season.
Things are looking up for this Florida program, and it's nice to see that the fans are still hanging in there.
