Will Tottenham Hotspur Be Relegated under Harry Redknapp?
Much talk over the past few days has been about who is going to win the Premier League title: Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool, Aston Villa, or even Everton.
I am a Manchester United fanatic, so of course I am fascinated about what is going on at the top of the league, but I am also interested in what is going on in White Hart Lane.
My family are very much split when it comes to football. There are Manchester United fans (from Old Trafford, actually) and Tottenham Hotspur fans, so what we could have at the end of the season is half the family overjoyed because United won the title and the other half inconsolable because Spurs had been relegated.

Can Tottenham Hotspur really go down? The quick answer to that is yes. Not many teams from the start of the season are safe from being relegated into the championship.
Will Tottenham Hotspur go down? Possibly, but there's also a good chance they won't, and here are some reasons why.
First,Tottenham has some fantastic players on the squad who are too good to be relegated. They will click, eventually, and save Tottenham from relegation. The only way from here is up.
Second, manager Harry Redknapp has managed to save Bournemouth from the drop. He then helped West Ham establish itself as a Premiership club.
Then, Redknapp joined Portsmouth and helped them to the Division 1 title in 2002-03. Redknapp kept Pompey in the Premier League in the 2003-04 season. He then left Pompey and joined bitter rivals Southampton, and while he was unable to establish Southampton as a Premiership team he turned them into a Championship team that could challenge for promotion.
Redknapp resigned as Southampton manager in December 2005 and rejoined Portsmouth, which looked like it would get relegated out of the Premiership.
Redknapp kept Pompey in the Premier League, the season after they finished ninth. A season later Pompey won the FA Cup, and then in early 2008-09 Redknapp left Pompey for Tottenham, where he is now.
If anyone can get Spurs out of the mess they are in, it is Harry Redknapp.
Third, the teams in the table all look vulnerable. Tottenham is one of the few teams that has better players (thanks to the money spent) who should be able to keep the club up. The way the Premier League is right now; if they string a couple of wins together, they can go straight up the table and into the top half.
Tottenham is too good to be relegated. It will be hard and close, but I think they will escape the drop.
