Brock Lesnar Is Ready for Slow and Steady Rise Back to WWE Prominence

Gabe ZaldivarJun 7, 2018

It will take some time before Brock Lesnar is once again the mountain that only a few can take down, but the WWE is well on its way to making it happen.

I have had my doubts before, and they were quite extensive.

I failed to see how the WWE was maximizing its efforts with the John Cena and The Rock feud, but then I saw that pan out in a decent conclusion with just the right amount of open-ended sentiment.

However, I was just as cynical about Brock Lesnar's return, thinking that his presence would again be wasted, but I am growing ever more confident that we are on the right track, with Lesnar soon to become the looming beast of a man that exacted great wrestling acumen.

It will take time.

Lesnar's first appearance on Raw left us all aghast with excitement, but he didn't look like the hulking Lesnar of old. Perhaps my eyes failed me.

There is no need to have him be the physical specimen we remember, not yet. It showed when he fell to John Cena at Extreme Rules.

It was there that we saw the true beginning of the first act, an act that would later become the full return of the Lesnar we all remember.

You have to break the man down before he can be built back up. That is why I was pleased with a Cena victory, despite the flourish of moves from Lesnar and the bloody end for Cena.

That one fight proved that Lesnar could match wits with top-tier talent and still bring the tenacity we all knew and loved.

In time, his physique will catch up with the passion, and then it will be time for some marquee twists and turns.
