Stevie Johnson Injury: Minor Surgery Is Wisest Move for Bills' Star Receiver
Stevie Johnson was visibly bothered by a groin injury for a good portion of the 2011 season. He still played in all 16 games, still turned in a 76-catch, 1,004-yard, seven-touchdown season and signed a new five-year contract, but he could have been even better.
According to WKBW in Buffalo, Johnson is in Philadelphia having minor surgery to remedy the problem:
"Eyewitness sports has learned that Bills wide receiver Stevie Johnson will be in Philadelphia over the next couple of days to undergo groin surgery.
Johnson's agent, CJ Laboy, tells Eyewitness Sports his client's procedure is "extremely minor surgery that won't keep him out long at all. He will be at [the Bills'] facility for all activities."

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
This is phenomenal news on all fronts.
Johnson will have the opportunity to heal up and enter camp this summer without worry of his injury flaring up again. The Bills return almost all of their primary starters offensively, and it will be huge for them to get into camp with a healthy side.
He's a gifted playmaker and guy who defenses have to keep extra eyes on when he's on his game. If 100-percent healthy, Johnson can open up a lot of things for the Ryan Fitzpatrick and the Bills offense.
Along with the return of Fred Jackson, the Bills' two biggest playmakers will be back and ready to work when it matters most.
Buffalo did a solid job in the draft this past weekend and added a speedy new weapon in wide receiver T.J. Graham.
With healthy stars, this offense hopes to get moving the way they did a year ago before injuries derailed the season.
