TNA: 7 WWE Wrestlers Who Should Make the Jump to Impact Now
As many talented wrestlers as TNA has on its roster, WWE is the major league of wrestling.
For the underappreciated WWE wrestlers left out of pay-per-views time and time again, perhaps a move to the minors would be an improvement.
WWE has stockpiled so much talent that they don't have enough feuds, titles or airtime to dish it out.
What's the point of being a part of the world's biggest and most famous wrestling company if you never wrestle?
Others reside too far down on the card with respect to their talent.
With Brock Lesnar, the Rock and Chris Jericho hanging around the top, some of WWE's future stars are being left out.
These seven WWE wrestlers are not fulfilling their potential where they are. TNA may offer them less-bright spotlights but a better career.
Evan Bourne
1 of 6Once Evan Bourne's injuries heal and his latest suspension is over, his place in the WWE hierarchy will be amid the bottom feeders.
WWE seemed to have big plans for Bourne and tag partner Kofi Kingston. Bourne's failed drug test wrecked those plans.
Rather than go back to a company where he will reside in the doghouse, jobbing to the likes of Brodus Clay and Lord Tentai, Bourne should flee to TNA.
His high-flying lucha-inspired style fits in perfectly with the X Division.
Bourne has a higher ceiling with TNA.
There is not a chance he'll ever win the WWE Championship and it's unlikely he'll challenge for the Intercontinental title anytime soon.
Going up against Austin Aries for the X Division Championship is lot more plausible.
And if Bourne refuses to stop smoking synthetic marijuana, TNA would be happy to look the other way.
Drew McIntyre
2 of 6No one has a larger gap between talent and airtime than Drew McIntyre.
He is a smooth athlete with a great instinct for wrestling. He is rarely on TV anymore and hasn't had a meaningful match in ages.
McIntyre can either hang around WWE as an afterthought, getting booked to lose to everyone other than Hornswoggle, or he can go somewhere that he might be appreciated.
A switch to TNA takes McIntyre from sitting on the far end of the bench to becoming a major player.
Christopher Daniels and AJ Styles would make intriguing opponents for the former "Chosen One."
With WWE, McIntyre's career is being wasted. Even hovering around mid-card status with TNA would be an improvement for him.
Natalya
3 of 6WWE has made it clear that it does not care about women's wrestling.
They've chosen the route of training models to do a handful of wrestling moves and entertain us mostly with sex appeal.
In a company that has had Brie Bella, Nicki Bella and Kelly Kelly become Divas Champion, Natalya is out of place. Even if she weren't involved in ridiculous fart-centric angles, she has very little quality competition to work with.
TNA is not All Japan Women's Pro Wrestling by any means, but their female roster is light years better than WWE's. They also allow their women to perform in matches lasting more than three minutes.
Natalya could be feuding with Knockouts champ Gail Kim or ODB or Mickie James.
The thought of working with talented women like that has got to be running through her mind every time she's booked to lose to a scrawny Bella Twin or asked to fart for comic relief.
R-Truth
4 of 6R-Truth is 40 years old.
Who knows how long he can remain healthy and wrestle at a high level?
He can either chose to spend the next five or six years of his career hoping that WWE will put him higher on the card again or go to a company that will plant him in the main event scene immediately.
R-Truth has likely hit his highpoint with WWE: a feud with John Cena for the WWE title and a part in that muddled conspiracy angle with the Miz at the end of 2011.
He's now one half of the tag team champs in an era where that means little to nothing.
Unless the team of Kofi Kingston and R-Truth get a lot more recognition and airtime than the last few tag champs, that title won't mean much for his career.
Truth of course spent several years with TNA, where he won a number of tag titles and twice won the NWA World Heavyweight Championship.
TNA fans are familiar with him and would latch right back onto him upon his re-debut.
Truth has never been more entertaining than he was with WWE. His Little Jimmy routine features some of the funniest moments in wrestling.
One has to wonder, though, if he is satisfied with playing the goofball or if he wants a chance to be a headliner again.
Tamina
5 of 6Tamina has been asked to do very little after her thrilling match with Beth Phoenix at Elimination Chamber 2012.
It had to anger her to put on such a great performance, one that snagged the crowd's attention like a Divas match hasn't done in recent memory, only to be buried.
She is far more than Jimmy Snuka's daughter.
Her athleticism and ring prowess is being wasted. Maria Menounos gets a match at WrestleMania while Tamina is forced to simply watch the event on TV, twiddling her thumbs.
With TNA, she could be given the opportunity to develop an actual character and wrestle from time to time.
It'd be beneficial for the fans and for TNA to have her pair with Sarita, Tara or Winter and chase the TNA Knockouts Tag Team Championship.
Tyler Reks and Curt Hawkins
6 of 6It's unclear what Tyler Reks and Curt Hawkins' status with WWE is right now.
They've been kayfabe fired from NXT. Will a real-life pink slip be coming soon?
If they're still in fact working for WWE, they should both put in their notice, pack their bags and find out if TNA is in fact a greener pasture.
WWE's tag team division has taken a well-documented nosedive.
Not counting the WrestleMania 28 pre-show, the WWE Tag Team Championship hasn't been defended on a pay-per-view since last year.
If the tag champs aren't getting any love, what can Reks and Hawkins hope for?
They are far too talented to be the big fish on NXT.
Reks and Hawkins have great chemistry. They're putting together quality matches. TNA may be the best place for them to display their skills.
The move won't turn them into the Hart Foundation, but they'll likely get a lot more airtime and a lot more respect.
