Summer Transfer Scenarios: Most Dragged-Out Deals That Should Finally Get Done
There are multiple transfer sagas that have been eating up the press all season long.
The likes of Eden Hazard and Carlos Tevez are two of many that I, for one, am almost tired of hearing about.
Nevertheless, they are bound to finally find a solution for their desires this summer, aren't they?
We can only hope.
With that said, here are some of the media's most dragged out deals that should finally come to fruition during this summer transfer window.
Eden Hazard Moves to England
1 of 9There is no doubt that Eden Hazard will be making his move to England this summer.
If he goes somewhere outside of the English Premier League it will indeed be a surprise.
The latest reports from The Independent claim that Hazard is set to be put in the middle of a tug-of-war between Manchester City and Manchester United.
However, there is still a chance he could end up moving to Tottenham or Arsenal, or even Liverpool.
Lukas Podolski
2 of 9Lukas Podolski is already being hailed as the newest Arsenal arrival.
However, despite the announcement that a deal has been made, he still has to pass a medical and complete the move once the transfer window actually opens.
There is still time for it to fall apart, but it looks to be wrapped up after months of debate.
Carlos Tevez
3 of 9Carlos Tevez spent the better part of six months whining and complaining to get out of Manchester City.
However, now that the club have all but locked up the title, he has decided he wants to stay, according to The Sun.
Honestly, no one was going to pay the price for him that the Citizens wanted anyway.
Robin van Persie Signs New Arsenal Contract
4 of 9Robin van Persie will have a hard choice to make at the end of the season.
As the Dutchman prepares to lead the line for his nation at this summer's UEFA European Championship, he will also have to decide on his future as a Gunner.
Although his contract is good through 2013, it is now or never for him to re-sign or move on.
With his stock having never been higher there are sure to be loads of offers.
However, if he is to cement himself as a permanent Arsenal legend he has to sign a new contract, and with Lukas Podolski already looking in the bag and more on the way, he will have plenty new weapons around him for the future.
Gunner's manager Arsene Wenger believes it is only a matter of time before his captain re-signs, according to the Daily Mirror.
Wesley Sneijder Leaves Inter
5 of 9Manchester United are still being linked with Wesley Sneijder as the Dutchman is nearing yet another summer transfer window.
Although he has helped move Inter Milan back towards a European football place in the UEFA Europa League, this is likely to be his last campaign in Milan.
This summer should see Sneijder move on, but to where is yet to be known, between interest from both English and Russian clubs.
Ezequiel Lavezzi, Edinson Cavani or Marek Hamsik Leave Naples
6 of 9One of Napoli's big three is sure to leave this summer.
Edinson Cavani has been linked all over Europe, while Ezequiel Lavezzi is demanding a move over a bust up with his manager, according to TalkSport.
Marek Hamsik is the most likely candidate to actually remain at the Neapolitan club, but he could still be coaxed away.
Shinji Kagawa Leaves Dortmund
7 of 9Borussia Dortmund midfielder and Japanese international Shinji Kagawa looks like he will getting out of Germany this summer.
After terminating his contract talks with the German club, Manchester United have been put on alert, according to The Sun.
Luka Modric Leaves Tottenham
8 of 9While originally it was Chelsea that were reportedly set to offer a massive amount of cash for Luka Modric in the summer 2011 transfer window, it is now Manchester United that are leading the way for the Croatian midfielder.
Sir Alex Ferguson is believed to be targeting the maestro as part of a massive summer spending spree in order to return his side to the top level.
Conclusion
9 of 9There are many other deals that are certain to finally get finished after lengthy courtships.
