Chelsea vs Barcelona Live: Scores, Highlights and Player Grades
Barcelona will try to overcome a one-goal deficit as they host Chelsea at Nou Camp for the final leg of the Champions League semifinal.
That leaves Chelsea on the verge of making a stunning appearance in the finals, and they are in good shape to do so. The Blues are relatively healthy and ready to roll.
Update: Tuesday, April 24 at 5:20 p.m. ET
Chelsea has taken down mighty Barca by earning a 2-2 draw in this second leg. It was an improbable win for the Blues.
They were huge underdogs to begin with, and they fell behind early 2-0. During the process of falling behind, they also lost John Terry to a red card. There seemed to be no hope for them at that point.
Well this group of players is proving to be historically resilient. There is no quit in this team.

Chelsea Key Player Grades
John Terry: F
Terry is lucky his team managed to advance. Otherwise, he was going to be facing months of question about his boneheaded decision here.
He was given the red card and sent off for that, and that was partway through the first half. He put his team behind the 8-ball and they bailed him out.
Petr Cech: B
Cech got of to a slow start as Barca scored two first half goals, but he stepped it up in the second to shut them down.
He can't get all the credit, though. Barca doomed themselves as much as Cech stopped them. Of their 23 shots, only six were on target.
Ramires: A
Ramires was a non-factor in the second, but he had already firmly made his mark on this match. In the only shot he took all match, Ramires netted the Blues first goal. And what a huge goal it was.
Trailing 2-0 with time running to an end in the first half, Ramires broke free and gave his team hope, and some momentum to carry into the locker room.
The entire complexion of this contest changed with that goal.
Barcelona Key Player Grades
Lionel Messi: D
This is the kind of match you expect Messi to dominate, and he didn't. In fact, in the second half, Messi had a penalty kick to give his team a 3-1 lead, and he bounced it off the crossbar.
He also blew a great goal scoring opportunity in the first half. In all, he fired off five shots, two of which were on goal, and none of which made their way to the back of the net.
Victor Valdes: D
Valdes had just one save on the day, and allowed two goals. He certainly can't be blamed for the last goal. Torres had a clean run on him with no one else in sight, but still, he allowed two goals when just three shots were on target.
Barca needed more from their goal keep and he could not deliver.
Xavi: C+
Xavi played a solid match. He was crisp with his passing, and solid on defense. However, Barca needed someone to step up and make a play, and he is one of the players they look to in these situations, and he couldn't do it.
He fired off two shots, and neither was on target.
Update: Tuesday, April 24 at 4:30 p.m. ET
Chelsea miraculously not only was able to keep Barca within one goal, but they were able to erase their deficit altogether.
Fernando Torres found the net in the 90th minute to tie the match at two, and all but ensure that his Blues would be advancing.
The Blues are advancing to their second ever Champions League final. Barcelona came on strong at the end, but somehow, someway the Blues did not break.
Update: Tuesday, April 24 at 4:00 p.m. ET
With a chance to give his Barca squad a lead good enough to send them to the finals, Lionel Messi clanged his penalty shot off the crossbar.
Barca is controlling possession early in the second half, but they haven't done anything with it. It is 2-1 at the 55 minute mark.
Update: Tuesday, April 24 at 3:35 p.m. ET
The action is coming fast and furious. Barcelona exploded for a 2-0 lead, and this match quickly looked all but over.
Not for this resilient Chelsea squad. They quickly answered back to narrow the gap to 2-1. If that score holds true, Chelsea will advance.
Chelsea's score came moments before the end of the first half. It is currently half time. Chelsea is going to have their work cut out for them in the second half, and they are going to have to do that work without John Terry.
He needlessly rammed his knee into the back of Alexis Sanchez, and the refs did not miss it. He was sent off with a red card.
Check out some first half highlights.
Defender David Luiz will be out, and Didier Drogba is still dealing with knee issues, but those are the only things keeping them from full strength.
If Chelsea can pull this off they will be making just their second ever Champions League final. They will have to do so against a Barca team that will be playing like mad to avoid watching their year end on a terrible note.
If they lose, it will be the first time since 2003 that this amazing squad has lost three straight. Their previous two losses resulted in them being in the one-goal deficit, and essentially eliminated them from contention for the La Liga crown.
Chelsea enters this match with all of the momentum, but they are going to have to keep that going against the proud defending champions. Barcelona is not going to leave anything on the pitch as they once again push to assert their dominance.
A loss here would leave Barca with only the Copa del Rey as a chance to land some major hardware this year.
