WWE's Worst Person of the Week: Daniel Bryan
Daniel Bryan is the hottest act going in pro wrestling.
But lost in all of the hoopla surrounding Bryan’s soaring popularity and the incredible rise of the “Yes!” chants is the fact that Bryan has developed into an excellent heel.
He’s completely shed the stigma that he “can’t work a mic” and has instead elevated his promo game to new heights, which in turn, has helped him become arguably the top heel character in the entire WWE.

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
Much of Bryan’s progression as a heel has centered around his relationship with ex-girlfriend AJ, and perhaps more specifically, the terrible way in which he treats her.
Bryan is now the jerk of an ex-boyfriend, who—though he is no longer with AJ—still manages to make her life miserable.
Although there are tons of examples of Bryan being a jerk to AJ that you can point to, I’m not sure it was ever more evident than it was on last week’s episode of Friday Night Smackdown.
After Bryan cut a promo to open the show, AJ came out to the ring to address their relationship and attempt to reconcile. But Bryan, of course, wanted none of it, telling AJ, “Stop, turn around and go away.”
AJ, however, entered the ring and begged Bryan to talk about their problems, but Bryan told AJ that he got rid of the problem—the problem being her.
The crowd hated Bryan the entire time that he talked down to his ex, but it went from heat to mega heat when Bryan looked her in the eyes and said, “I wish you were never even born.”
If there’s any way that a man can easily become hated, it’s for him to treat a woman look crap. But Bryan took things a step further by treating a seemingly innocent and sweet woman absolutely horribly and doing so on national TV.
While the “Yes!” chants will still continue throughout WWE shows all across the world, Bryan will continue to be hated as long as he’s associated with AJ.
No one (well, except for us Internet fans) wants to see a jerk succeed, and Bryan has undoubtedly become one of the biggest jerks in pro wrestling.
He’s just like that guy you know who verbally abuses his tiny girlfriend simply because he thinks he can.
You want to lay a world-class beatdown on that guy, right?
It’s the same with Bryan, who may be getting more popular by the day. But on the flip side, he is becoming a worse person and thus, more and more hated by the day, too.
