WWE News: Why the Rock's New Show Proves He'll Never Fully Commit to WWE

John NizinskiJun 7, 2018

The Rock finally returned to the WWE in 2011 and has left WWE fans wanting him to be back full-time. He is one of the most exciting wrestlers of all time and has the ability to electrify fans every night.

On the Raw after his match with John Cena at WrestleMania 28, The Rock delivered a message that electrified the WWE again. He said that he intends to become the WWE champion.

In order to be the WWE champion again, The Rock would have to return as a full-time WWE superstar.

The question is, will The Rock ever fully commit to the WWE and become a full-time superstar?

The things he's doing outside of the WWE prove he will never fully commit.

According to Variety.com, The Rock has a new show on television. He is teaming up with Ben Silverman's Electus Entertainment to start a competition TV show called The Hero.

The show will give teams of ordinary people a chance to be the next hero. These people will be sent on a "high-stakes global adventure across three continents to prove what they are able to overcome, sacrifice and undergo for the strength of their groups."

What this new venture for The Rock shows is that the WWE is not The Rock's priority and he will never fully commit to the company.

After the win over John Cena, The Rock has gone right back into his hiatus. He is back to being an actor and this new show is a clear sign that The Rock is not interested in delegating the majority of his time to the WWE.

If he wanted to fully commit to the company that made him famous, he could temporarily stop taking on new projects outside of it. The Rock could finish up the venture that he has already committed to and open up his schedule for the WWE.

The Rock's actions are speaking louder than his words.

Despite reassuring fans he will never leave the WWE, The Rock has gone away again. While "never leaving" doesn't mean he will be there every week, it does mean he will consistently be involved with the company. This new show is just another thing that gets in the way of him consistently making appearances with the WWE.

His intentions were to venture outside of professional wrestling when he left the company in 2004. The Rock is still more interested in work outside of the WWE.

The Rock's decision to be a part of this new show should be disappointing news to WWE fans.
