Andy Carroll: Liverpool Striker Says He Wants off Kenny Dalglish's Bench
Two game-winners in the last week have Liverpool's Andy Carroll thinking that it is time he gets a consistent place in Kenny Dalglish's starting XI.
Carroll won the match late with a 90th-minute headed goal against Blackburn on April 10th. Just four days later, another Carroll header against Everton sent Liverpool through to the FA Cup finals.
Now, the striker feels it's time he takes a featured role.

"I am confident in myself that, if I am playing games, I will score goals and put myself about," he told reporters via ESPN. "I cannot really do that if I am on the bench and coming on in the last 10 minutes of games."
Carroll has made 31 league appearances for Liverpool this season, but only 17 starts.
In making his most recent comments, Carroll must be hoping that his recent form overshadows the fact that he has only managed four goals during Premier League competition this season.
He will also undoubtedly hope that his recent goals have erased the memory of the spectacle he put on at the beginning of the month when he was substituted against Newcastle.
According to the Daily Mirror, Carroll cursed at his manager as he stormed up the tunnel after being brought off during the second half of Liverpool's defeat to Newcastle—Carroll's former team.
Liverpool currently sit eighth in the Premier League table despite their abysmal form during the second half of the season. Even with the win last weekend at Blackburn, the Reds have only managed three victories in their last 14 EPL matches.
