NFL Free Agency: Miami Dolphins Sign Wide Receiver Legedu Naanee
The Miami Dolphins unloaded wide receiver Brandon Marshall earlier this offseason in a trade unpopular amongst their fans, but the team has now taken one step—albeit a minor one—to piece the position group back together, signing free-agent wide receiver Legedu Naanee.
The financial details of the one-year pact remain unclear, but Naanee is coming off of his most productive season as a pro and should compete for substantial playing time in Miami's new West Coast system.
Originally a fifth-round draft pick in 2007 by the San Diego Chargers, Naanee established himself early in his career as a special teams contributor, totaling a career-best 10 tackles in 2008.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
He spent the 2011 season catching passes from Cam Newton in Carolina, hauling in 44 in total for 467 yards. Naanee has very good size (6'2", 220 pounds) and sufficient speed for the position, and although he isn't the smoothest of route runners, he should help a Miami receiving corps currently short on bodies.
The Dolphins, who finished 2011 at 6-10, are expected to target a wideout at some point in the upcoming draft, with Michael Floyd of Notre Dame a possibility at No. 8, Miami's first selection.
