We All Know About the Hall of Fames We Have in Sports—So Where Is B/R's?
I was watching ESPN the other day and they keep talking about Kurt Warner. Is he going into the NFL Hall of Fame or not?
Then we heard about the retirement of Jeff Kent from MLB and then news broke recently about Mark McGwire. His brother sold him out for money, he talked about how he introduced him to steroids and he wanted to reveal it to the world.
He claims he did it out of love, but really. That being said, both Kent and McGwire have been talked about for the Baseball Hall of Fame.
This really made me think, who out of B/R's writers deserve the B/R hall of Fame? You are all great writers, but some have shown how to really write around here.
Who deserves the B/R Hall of Fame? Well I have put together the 2009 Hall of Fame Class.
Lisa Horne
Should be obvious, the college football expert can tell you anything about a subject she is writing about. Rarely if any time does she make a mistake. She has many pick of the Day articles which I hope to get one day.
She proved sports are not just a man dominated arena. With her article about females in a male locker room, I was intrigued. I saw in my brain while I was reading her side of the story.
The female perspective of a male place. Which I personally loved by her and believe it is some of her best work. She currently is the top writer on B/R and is a legend here already.
That is why she is in the B/R 2009 Hall of Fame class.
Sean Crowe
Yes yes, the Monkey Man proved anyone can write. We are all primates, and he just as us, has opposable thumbs. Just kidding there, Sean. He writes mainly in the NFL section, gut can go to other sections if need be.
Any football article he writes makes you think, does my opinion matter? His is just so good. He like Horne has pick of the Day articles. And they are much deserved, not matter if it is about Tom Brady engaging Giselle or the Cards going to the Super Bowl.
He is one of the best B/R has ever had and continues to surprise us, if that is possible.
That is why he is in the B/R 2009 Hall of Fame Class
Ron Johnson
Some may say it is favoritism, but Ron was one of the first people to get me on B/R. He is the wrestling section's community leader and keeps order along with producing great articles.
He like all the others has pick of the day articles, and he not only can work in the wrestling section, but also crosses the line to the college football section. His articles in college football against Lisa Horne is probably the most entertaining to me.
He may be a little controversial, but no matter what you think about him he is a great writer. That is why he is in the B/R 2009 Hall of Fame.
Zander
This was too easy, it was like putting Bret Favre or Jerry Rice in the NFL Hall of Fame. He is simply one of the best and the creator of the site we know as Bleacher Report. He not only produces great articles, but runs the place as if it is nothing.
Although he may say it is harder than it looks. And I can see that, but how does he have time to put out great articles worthy of pick of the day consideration? He is simply superman around here and we are lucky to live in his world.
Zander is the dwarf among midgets here, always just a little bit better. That is why he is in the B/R 2009 Hall of Fame.
This is my 2009 Hall of Fame Class for the Bleacher Report. It may be a bit controversial, but not everyone can get in this year. Just the ones who have been the best.
Can anyone argue these people getting in? I certainly can't. B/R's Hall of Fame is the best Hall of Fame among them all. In writing of course, but hey we are the only one so we have to be the best right?
Well in that case we are also the worst when I think about it. But oh well, this is the B/R 2009 Hall of Fame Class.
Anyone you think should be in?
