Tiger Woods: Superstar Will Continue to Struggle on Final Day of Masters
Tiger Woods scurries to the driving range in attempt to fix his swing when things don't seem right. While I love the ambition to get better, nothing can fix his swing at the 2012 Masters because it's in his head.
Woods hasn't played well through three rounds of the Masters and his struggles will continue on Sunday.
What in his play makes you believe that his final day will be a successful one? He can't hit the fairway consistently, he's constantly putting himself in awful positions and he is relying on his putter to save pars.
Not exactly the recipe for success for Woods in any tournament, but especially not on the fast greens at Augusta.
Woods has played extremely well in 2012. I thought that maybe he turned the corner, but that hasn't been the case. He took a giant step back in the first Major of 2012 and his character and mindset are going to be challenged severely.
Will he bounce back from his dreadful Masters performance? I'm not 100 percent sure.
Augusta is a place Tiger has owned throughout his career. He knows the course just about as well as anybody on tour and he still struggled.
Confidence is paramount in the game of golf. Woods can try to work out his swing all he likes, but it won't change anything if his confidence level is low.
Golfers have to believe in their swing, they have to believe in what clubs to use in what situation and they have to swing carefree.
Woods hasn't done that through three rounds and I don't see it changing.
Prediction: Tigers shoots +1 on Sunday.
