Masters TV Coverage 2012: When and Where to Watch Augusta Action

Mike ChiariJun 7, 2018

The action is heating up at Augusta National as there are two rounds remaining to crown the 2012 Masters champion. While there are some shocking names near the top of the leaderboard, there are also some favorites in the mix as well, including Rory McIlroy and Lee Westwood.

A rough second round has Tiger Woods eight strokes off the pace at three-over par, and unless the field comes back to him a bit, it seems unlikely that he'll be able to make a run. It should come as no surprise, though, that Phil Mickelson made a late charge on Friday and will open play Saturday just three shots behind the leaders.

The battle for the green jacket is primed to be a fierce one, and it will be extremely interesting to see how the leaderboard shakes out after moving day. Many golf experts consider Saturday to be the most important day of the tournament as it determines which players will be in the hunt on Sunday and which simply can't cut the mustard.

Read on to find out where you can catch the finals rounds of The Masters this weekend, both on television and streaming online.

TV Schedule

3:30 p.m. ET - 7 p.m. ET (Saturday on CBS)

2 p.m. ET - 7 p.m. ET (Sunday on CBS)

Live Streaming Coverage

11:45 a.m. ET - 7 p.m. ET (Saturday and Sunday on Masters.com.)

Current Favorite: Rory McIlroy

After a meltdown that saw him blow his chance at the green jacket last year, McIlroy entered this year's Masters with a lot to prove. He ultimately won a major last year and is currently the No. 2 player in the world, but until he wins the Masters, his epic collapse will always be talked about.

Right now, he has to be considered the favorite as he sits at four-under par, just one shot behind Jason Dufner and Fred Couples.

In terms of pure talent, there is no question that McIlroy is the man to beat right now. He won't have an easy time redeeming himself as there are so many players in contention currently, but when the dust settles, most observers probably expect him to come out on top.

My Pick: Phil Mickelson

Just when it looked like Phil Mickelson was dead and buried in this tournament, Lefty came up with a run late in the second round to move within three shots of the leaders. Mickelson has done this so many times at The Masters, and while some of his runs have ultimately been mirages, he has come from out of nowhere to win as well.

Thanks to all the momentum he has built up, I really like Mickelson's chances to get in the mix and ultimately win. Saturday will obviously be a huge day for him because if he doesn't build off of what he did on Friday, then it will all have been for naught.

Mickelson has to smell blood in the water with a lot of middling players near the top of the leaderboard, so he should be in a position to win come Sunday.
