WrestleMania 28: The Rock's Win Will Help Make John Cena a Bigger Babyface
When all the dust was settled after one year of build, The Rock stood tall at the end of WrestleMania 28 with a victory over John Cena.
While everyone has their own opinion on whether that was the right outcome, it was the right move for both Rock and Cena on that night.
The common argument for Cena winning was that Rock is just a temporary wrestler. He is going to go back to Hollywood after WrestleMania, and doing the job could help Cena.

When you look at it really hard, that actually wasn't going to be the case at all. Cena is already as big a star in WWE as he is going to get, and he is by far the most popular performer the company has.
But on this night, in this arena, in front of these fans, Cena winning was not what they wanted to see, nor what they should have seen.
If you wanted Rock to lose, don't book his first singles match in nine years in Miami at WrestleMania.
While there wouldn't have been a revolt, a loss would have come off completely flat because no one paid to see Cena standing tall.
Instead, Cena did the job to the hometown hero and the fans left the show happy.
The question that everyone is asking right now is: Where does Cena go?
Simply put: The same place he would have gone if he had beaten Rock.
It's not like this loss marks the end of Cena as the top star in WWE. He will still be the main event on Raw every week, but now he actually looks a little better to those people that always hate him.
It's not like Cena was buried in the match. He "had it won" until he got full of himself at the end and had to do the People's Elbow to mock Rock.
Cena goes over every year at WrestleMania. If ever there was one match that he could afford to lose and still look like the big star that he is, it was this one. There will always be a pocket of fans that boo him, but overall, he is still going to do great work.
Forget talk of a heel turn—that ship isn't coming anytime soon.
Instead, realize that WWE and Cena did the right thing on this night, and everything will be better because of it.
