Blackburn vs Manchester United: 10 Bold Predictions
Once again, United head to Ewood Park smelling another league title.
After City's draw against stalemate against Sunderland on Saturday, United have the opportunity to go five points ahead with seven games to go.
Meanwhile, Blackburn Rovers find themselves outside the relegation zone only by goal difference.
Although they have only lost four in the last 10, Blackburn need a win to push them up the table.
Here are 10 predictions for Monday night's game.
1. Manchester United to Drop Points
1 of 10Manchester United vs Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park seems to be one of the most important in the title over the last few years.
A championship has been essentially won or lost at Ewood Park in the last four seasons.
Looking at the previous encounter between the sides this year, who would have expected a Blackburn win, so who would count against them this time?
2. Michael Owen Included in Match Day Squad
2 of 10With Michael Owen's impending return to fitness, it seems he will be thrust straight into the first team squad once again.
Kiko Macheda and Dimitar Berbatov are both on the way out and will be overtaken by Owen as the fourth striker.
Despite struggling with injuries during his short time at Old Trafford, he has popped up with a couple of vital goals.
3. Scholes to Have First Bad Game of His Return
3 of 10There is no doubt in my mind that if United are to win the league this year, it will be primarily down to the return of Paul Scholes.
It has been a new team full of vigor and inventiveness.
He is, however, due a bad one. Come on; he's nearly 40.
The star has to wane somewhere.
4. Junior Hoilett Impresses Sir Alex Ferguson
4 of 10Hoilett is a player who I feel has the ability to be a very good top-four performer.
If he is to give one of United's fullbacks a roasting tomorrow, he could be in line for a move to a big team.
Even more so, if he impresses the Boss, he could be moving slightly south to Manchester this summer.
5. Roberto Mancini Attends the Match
5 of 10With Blackburn pretty close to Manchester, Mancini may travel to take a close eye at his biggest rival.
He leaves at halftime due to the terrible abuse thrown at Steve Kean.
6. Paul Robinson Plays Like He Used to Play Against United
6 of 10Before Robinson played for terrible teams, he was the next big thing.
The eventual replacement for Seaman, they said. His career has faltered in recent years, but at the start of his career, he consistently performed exceptionally against United.
He may just do that tomorrow night.
7. David De Gea Makes It Fourth Clean Sheet in a Row
7 of 10It is now clearly obvious that De Gea has what it takes to become a great goalkeeper.
He has shown a great mental strength this season to bounce back from some terrible errors.
Now, he has cemented his starting credentials for next season with some great performances.
A fourth clean sheet in a row for the Spaniard and United would be slowly be surely moving towards another title.
8. Rooney Fails to Score After Scoring Clinching Goal Last Year
8 of 10The fact that Rooney possibly hasn't had a hugely great season and is still the second top scorer in the league is testament to his importance.
He may struggle tomorrow night with a Blackburn side that will probably "park the bus."
9. Chicharito Comes on and Equalizes Late on
9 of 10It would be just like the "Little Pea" if he were to pop up and score a late goal that may clinch a point or all three points.
I suspect Welbeck will start up front, but he may struggle due to recent poor form and will subbed for Hernandez.
Drama will occur as per usual when United are playing.
10. Steve Kean to Get Mass Apology from Blackburn Fans
10 of 10HAHA April Fools!!!
It'll never happen.
