March Madness Stars Who Would Be Great Fits in Miami
The men's 2012 NCAA tournament is just about over, with Kentucky and Kansas set to square off for the title Monday night in New Orleans.
Like always, this year's tourney has been nothing short of entertaining.
Plenty of March Madness stars will head to the next level this June as they'll hear their names called in the NBA draft.
Here's a few college hoopsters who would fit well playing alongside LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh and the Miami Heat, arguably the NBA's most talented team.
Let's begin.
Anthony Davis
1 of 5Davis, college basketball's top player this year, is basically a lock to be the first player taken in the June draft.
With that said, the Heat, who will be picking somewhere late in the first round, won't have a chance at landing Davis' services unless they're willing to trade either LeBron James or Dwyane Wade.
We know that's not happening.
So, Davis won't be donning a Heat uni any time soon, but there's no denying that he'd be a great fit down in South Beach due to his stellar shot-blocking ability.
Andre Drummond
2 of 5Like Davis, Drummond won't be around when it's the Heat's turn to pick.
The UConn freshman, who has been compared to Amar'e Stoudemire at times, is expected to be a top-10 selection.
Drummond put together a disappointing season, but he has a lot of potential, is extremely athletic and plays above the rim.
With LeBron James' court vision, Drummond would get a bunch of easy baskets down low in Miami.
Kendall Marshall
3 of 5Considered the best pure point guard prospect in the draft, Marshall would be a nice addition for the Heat.
The team already has two solid point guards in starter Mario Chalmers and rookie backup Norris Cole, but Marshall could turn out to be better than both players.
The North Carolina floor general would take the ball-handling load off LeBron.
Festus Ezeli
4 of 5Ezeli isn't much of a scorer, but he's a 6'11" center who can rebound and block shots, something the Heat desperately need. He's also athletic and can run the floor well for his size.
A lot of mock drafts have the Heat taking Ezeli, so don't be surprised if he lands down in South Florida this June.
The Vanderbilt big man could eventually replace Joel Anthony at the starting five spot.
Jeff Withey
5 of 5Withey is one of college basketball's most intimidating shot-blockers.
The 7' center blocked an insane seven shots Saturday against Ohio State in the Final Four.
Withey is currently projected to go in the second round of the draft, meaning the Heat could easily get their hands on him.
He wouldn't start over Joel Anthony at center for the Heat, but he could instantly become a quality role player for the team.
