10 Fighters That Need to Write Autobiographies
Love him, hate him, or be confused by him, you have to admit Nick Diaz is one of the most interesting characters in MMA history.
Diaz in known for being in some of the most exciting fights in recent MMA history. But he's also been looked at as a thug, smokes pot, and is known for trying to stay away from the public eye.
Although he may never open up enough to do it, it would be interesting to read about Diaz' experiences from his own words. Perhaps he'd be more comfortable writing sin
Nick Diaz: Fighting, Drugs, and Rock and Roll
1 of 10Love him, hate him or be confused by him, you have to admit Nick Diaz is one of the most interesting characters in MMA history.
Diaz has been known as a thug, smokes pot and is often one who tries to stay out of the public eye.
Although Diaz is not a big fan of cameras, maybe he would be more comfortable writing about his life story.
From the rough days growing up in Stocton, CA, to addressing the controversy in his MMA career, a Diaz book could be a way for Nick to prove that he's not such a bad guy and actually has some intelligence.
PRIDE of a Champion by Wanderlei Silva
2 of 10Wanderlei Silva is one of the most beloved fighters in MMA history.
Fans loved Silva for his willingness to always put on a good show.
While he was known as violent and brutal in a fight, outside, Silva is one of the nicest guys you could ever meet.
Who wouldn't want to read a book from Silva discussing his past experiences such as his feud with Quinton Jackson, his major run as a PRIDE champion and his life outside of the sport.
World's Greatest Armbar: The Life and Times of Ronda Rousey
3 of 10In just five pro MMA fights, Ronda Rousey has risen to the top of WMMA.
What makes Rousey interesting—besides her outspoken personality—is that she has won all of her fights by arm bars.
Though she may look like a one trick pony, there has not been anyone to avoid or stop her arm bars.
Rousey does have a life outside of MMA though.
Her mother was the first American to win at the World Judo Championships. Rousey herself won a Bronze medal at the 2008 Olympics.
Rousey has the personality to keep people interested, and it would be great to read what it's like to be an MMA fighter from a woman's perspective.
The Last Emperor by Fedor Emelianenko
4 of 10Fedor Emelianenko may get more scrutiny or love than any other fighter in MMA history.
Yet he has never failed a drug test, does not trash talk and really is not in the public eye.
Most of Fedor's hate stems from never competing in the UFC, and that can be attributed to his management team.
It would be great to hear from his own words just how Fedor felt over the years about this, his long winning streak and being considered one of the greatest in MMA history.
Josh Barnett: The Pro Wrestling Mixed Martial Artist
5 of 10Although Brock Lesnar was at the top of pro wrestling a few years before coming to MMA, he acted like himself when he changed sports.
Josh Barnett, on the other hand, has given post-match speeches that would have made for great wrestling promos.
Barnett is a fun guy, but he does have a dark past in MMA.
Since winning the UFC championship in 2002, Barnett has failed three drug tests.
It would be interesting to see if Barnett breaks "kayfabe" and opens up about the failed tests and well as his experience in both the pro wrestling and MMA worlds.
Georges St-Pierre: MMA's Nice Guy
6 of 10Georges St-Pierre is one of the nicest guys in MMA.
Despite being a great champion, St-Pierre never acts like he's better than anybody.
We've heard the stories of how St-Pierre was bullied as a kid and how hard he trains.
But what do we really know about the great champ.
A St-Pierre book could give us some insight on just who St-Pierre is.
Anderson Silva: Dancing with Greatness
7 of 10Like Georges St-Pierre, Anderson Silva is one of the greatest fighters in MMA history.
Like St-Pierre though, we really don't know a great deal about Silva outside the cage.
We know he's funny, humble, has a family and likes to dance.
However, we don't know too much of Silva's personal story.
It'd be great to read the experiences and thought process of Silva's life.
Phenom: The Vitor Belfort Story
8 of 10Although he is about to turn 35, he's been competing in the sport since 1996.
While most people who were around then are long gone, Belfort is still at the top of his game.
Belfort has gone through many highs and lows through out his career.
Through it all, though, he remains one of the best fighters and all around people in the sport.
Belfort should have many stories to tell.
Dana White: Living the MMA Dream
9 of 10Dana White is a business man, fight promoter and huge MMA fan.
What makes White different from any other sports league owner is the fact that he can be at the top of the sport and still interact with the fans on a personal level.
Thanks to twitter, we often know how White feels about a certain situation.
A book by White, however, could give a deeper look into his life and experiences.
Chael Sonnen: The Life of the Real People's Champion from His Own Mouth
10 of 10Chael Sonnen loves to talk.
Whether it's talking trash or talking about himself, when Sonnen talks, there's always somebody listening.
If Sonnen were to write a book, it would be interesting to see if we'll get a genuine account of his life, or if it will be written by the Gangster from West Linn, Oregon.
