College Football Recruiting 2013: Predictions on the Top 15 Uncommitted Recruits

Edwin WeathersbyJun 7, 2018

A short time ago, I did a piece of predictions for the top 10 uncommitted recruits. Today, I'm stretching it out to 15 and reviewing my predictions.

These are based off a combination of facts and gut feelings, so please don't take any offense if I don't predict a player to sign with your favorite program. I also urge you to please feel free to add your predictions on your favorite recruits in the comments section.

Here are mine!

15. Jaylon Smith, LB

1 of 15

A Hoosier state native, Smith is a 6'3", 225-pound linebacker with a chiseled frame and great athleticism.

I think he shows a skill set that could see him end up as a SAM 'backer in a 4-3 front, thanks to his strength, ability to jam tight ends and anchor versus the run. Smith also shows solid speed in pursuit, and doesn't back down from contact.

His brother plays for Ohio State, but I like Notre Dame right now.

14. Joey Bosa, DE

2 of 15

Thanks to a solid pad level, Bosa can play either DE or DT at 6'5", 260 pounds. He appears to play DT right now for his high school team, but I think he could play strong-side DE in college.

Bosa shows good strength, can anchor versus OTs and TEs, and flashes the motor to be a solid pass rusher off the edges.

13. Montravius Adams, DT

3 of 15

6'3", 285 pounds, Adams plays with a bit off and on pad level, but when he flat backs, he's nearly unblockable. Period. Some college seasoning could make him a prime time player, quickly.

He can explode at the snap, jump on top of blockers and slip blocks with speed and quickness. Adams is from Georgia and is the top DT in the South.

12. E.J. Levenberry, LB

4 of 15

Levenberry goes 6'3" and about 230 pounds these days, boasting a thick cut and powerful-looking frame. He's got good vision to ball carriers, mixes it up inside and will bang on blockers.

I like his instincts, play speed, lateral quickness and strength to thump upon contact.

11. Robert Foster, WR

5 of 15

Foster is a super quick-twitch, explosive athlete with a great deal of suddenness. He's got a 6'2", 190-pound frame, works on his craft and is from Pennsylvania.

Foster is similarly built and plays like WR Avery Johnson, who signed with LSU. I think Foster has a bit more concentration and focus right now than Johnson does, plus he has more consistent hands.

He has 23 offers and I predict that in the end, Penn State will land him.

10. Kendall Fuller, DB

6 of 15

Many feel that Fuller has a chance to develop into a premier cover corner in college. He's that athletically gifted, and has that much natural talent.

He plays WR right now, but projects as a 5'11", 185-pound CB that refuses to back down from big, physical receivers. He's physical, will press anybody and can play the ball as if he was the receiver.

9. Michael Hutchings, LB

7 of 15

"Hutch" is a 6'2", 210-pound OLB/SS prospect with great range, instincts and the competitiveness to cover. He flashes great quickness and foot speed in pursuit, hates getting caught in traffic and will make plays.

USC, Oregon, Notre Dame and Washington are schools to name. I think he ends up at USC, with Oregon also being close.

8. Justin Davis, RB

8 of 15

6'1" and closing in on 200 pounds, Davis has a great frame for a rock toter in college.

Add on traits of speed, vision, elusiveness, wiggle in the open field, solid hands and natural run instincts, and you can see why he's highly touted.

I think he eventually lands at USC.

7. Vernon Hargreaves III, CB

9 of 15

Hargreaves is the top cover man in the country right now, as he stands 5'11", 180 pounds. He's got excellent technique, will slow play receivers in off coverage and has great hips to flip, turn and run.

He's the son of a coach, as his father is an assistant at South Florida. Hargreaves has offers from all over, but I think he'll go with his dad and play for the Bulls.

6. Antonio Conner, DB

10 of 15

Conner is a 6'2", 192-pound SS prospect that I think is easily the best open field tackler in the country. He has great speed to close down in space and athleticism to cut the ball carrier down.

Conner can patrol the deep middle and has the explosion to get off the hashes in coverage. He also is a great RB for his high school team.

Ole Miss, Mississippi State and Alabama are the prime schools to watch out for, with the Rebels winning out.

5. Max Browne, QB

11 of 15

Browne is the No. 1 QB in the country for 2013 and goes 6'5", 200 pounds. He's got a tall frame, a smooth, easy and super quick release and has excellent mechanics.

He can push the ball to all levels, has great touch and places the ball in great position on most of his throws.

I think Oklahoma beats out USC for his services.

4. Su'a Cravens, DB

12 of 15

6'1", 205 pounds, Cravens has the potential to be an elite safety in college, but could also grow into an OLB. Cravens is a very good athlete, makes plays whenever and wherever he can and doesn't back down from contact.

He flashes solid ball skills, has the speed to increase his range in coverage and will makes plays on the ball.

Eventually, he ends up at USC.

3. Ty Isaac, RB

13 of 15

Isaac is a 6'3", 220-pound running back that can also catch the football very well.

He's got great speed, can elude defenders and has a little Eric Dickerson in him because of his long frame at the RB position.

Michigan and USC are schools to watch out for, and I think he ends up in Ann Arbor.

2. Laremy Tunsil, OT

14 of 15

6'6", and in the 280-pound range, Tunsil has a high ceiling as an OT. He shows the athleticism to shadow rushers on the front edges, foot quickness to recover and can adjust to speed with ease.

Tunsil is raw in his technique and is still learning how to mix up his sets and finish as a drive blocker, but he has he tools to become great.

Florida, Florida State and Georgia are high up with Tunsil, and I think he eventually signs with Florida.

1. Robert Nkemdiche, DL

15 of 15

I think he commits to Alabama, but watch out for LSU and Clemson.
