World Football Betting Guide: Lucky 7 Weekend Winners to Make You Money
Liverpool can't stop disappointing their fans, Manchester United and Arsenal can't stop winning and Real Madrid can't stop drawing against lesser teams.
But are you willing to bet on them?
This weekend promises another slate of exciting games in leagues across Europe, and so there are plenty of bets to be made.
If you're feeling bold or adventurous or even just plain reckless, here are seven lucky winners for you in this weekend's games.
Chelsea-Spurs
1 of 7Chelsea's winning run ended Wednesday at Manchester City. Tottenham's losing run ended the same night with a draw against Stoke.
Here's guessing both will resume their recent form when they meet Saturday at Stamford Bridge. I like Chelsea to win, but only after a fight from Tottenham.
Avoid the scoring bets, though, (unless you're brave enough to bet on Fernando Torres bagging another goal so quickly) and instead take the half-time/full-time bet. Draw/home is 10/3 at Ladbrokes.
Bayern Munich-Hannover 96
2 of 7Bayern Munich needed penalties to beat Borussia Monchengladbach on Tuesday in the DFB-Pokal semifinals. Their game against Hannover 96 on Saturday won't be nearly as tight.
The Bavarians have won their last two league matches by a combined 13-1 score. William Hill lists Over 4.5 total match goals at 12/5. That's good value, and if you're feeling even bolder, try Over 5.5 at 11/2.
Real Madrid-Real Sociedad
3 of 7Real Madrid drew 1-1 with Villarreal on Wednesday. Mesut Özil and Sergio Ramos both received red cards, and the referee also sent Jose Mourinho out of the dugout.
That makes two straight draws for Real in La Liga. They'll be without Ramos and Özil this weekend against Real Sociedad, and William Hill's 7-1 odds on a draw are pretty tempting.
Manchester United-Fulham
4 of 7Manchester United top the form table and look like a good bet to win yet another league title. They've won five straight league matches and haven't been held under two goals since Dec. 3 at Aston Villa (United won anyway).
Fulham visit Old Trafford on Monday, and I like United to win easily. Coupled correct scores can be tricky, but I like Manchester United 2-0 or 3-0, which is 15/8 at Ladbrokes.
Rangers-Celtic
5 of 7Rangers are reeling. Celtic top the Scottish Premier League table by a large margin.
The Old Firm rivals meet again Sunday, but while this fixture is usually tight, this is no normal season. Even though the match is at Ibrox, I see Celtic winning comfortably.
Sky Bet has Celtic to win by exactly two goals at 11/2.
Arsenal-Aston Villa
6 of 7Arsenal's current run has been impressive, not least because they came from behind to win four straight times before Wednesday's 1-0 triumph over Everton.
They're back home Saturday against Aston Villa, who took a 2-0 lead at the Emirates in the fourth round of the FA Cup before losing 3-2.
Blue Sq lists Arsenal at 7/1 to win after falling behind.
Liverpool-Wigan
7 of 7After their stunning 3-2 loss at QPR, Liverpool's home date against Wigan on Saturday provides plenty of interesting opportunities.
A straight-up draw is 9/2 at Sky Bet, where you can also get 16/1 odds on a scoreless match, 8/1 on Liverpool not to score and 17/2 on a 1-1 draw.
