Tim Tebow Trade Rumors: Jaguars Represent Best Long-Term Option for QB
Tim Tebow wants to play QB, not some wildcat or H-Back variation that comes in with situational packages. No other team offers him a better opportunity to be a traditional QB than Jacksonville.
Using the term "traditional QB" and Tim Tebow in the same reference seems weird, but I believe that is what Tebow wants to be.
He won't ever abandon his ability to run the ball, but he knows to maximize his effectiveness—he'll have to develop his skills in the pocket.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
After signing Peyton Manning, the Broncos seem committed to trade Tebow.
Per Adam Schefter of ESPN there are four teams interested in acquiring him:
"Teams that have discussed a trade for quarterback Tim Tebow, either internally or with the Denver Broncos, include the Jacksonville Jaguars, Green Bay Packers, Miami Dolphins and New York Jets
"
Of those teams, only the Dolphins and Jaguars don't have an established QB or legend under center. This means that under no circumstances will Tebow have a realistic opportunity to play, unless there is an injury.
If he does see the field, it'll be in specialty packages.
That is beneath him at this point. He deserves an opportunity to start or at least compete for a starting QB job. He rescued the Broncos from a 1-4 hole, guided them to a AFC West title and helped engineer a first-round upset of the Pittsburgh Steelers in the playoffs.
Those accomplishments have to count for something.
In Jacksonville, he'll have fan support. And pitted against Chad Henne and Blaine Gabbert, he has his best shot at winning the job outright.
The Dolphins present the same type of opportunity, but I'm not sure new Head Coach Joe Philbin is the right coach for him.
I feel much more comfortable with Mike Mularkey's power run philosophy and how that fits in with what Tebow does well.
Both spots offer the Florida connection, but the Jags offer him an opportunity to save the franchise from a financial standpoint.
Tebow's presence will put butts in seats and keep the Jags on television. Neither of those things have been the case over the past five years. In 2011, the Jags were one of nine teams to draw less than 500,000 fans to their home games.
That will change if Tebow comes to town.
Tebow is the type of guy that will take whatever assignment he's given, but I'd hate to see him demeaned and forced to be a gimmick player.
He deserves time to develop into a true, dual-threat QB. He'll never get that in Green Bay, New England or New York.
People will say, "well he'll get a chance to learn behind proven starters." That may be the case for some, but Tebow is a different breed. He needs the game experience, and those teams won't give him that opportunity.
I'm hoping for Jacksonville.
