Viral Video of the Day: 39-Year-Old Rivaldo Scores Hat Trick in Africa
Even pushing 40, Rivaldo's still has a few tricks up his sleeve.
For most of us, the enduring image of Brazilian legend Rivaldo is a silly and shameful dive at the 2002 World Cup. Ten years later, we might have something new to remember him by.
Here he is, all of 39 years old, scoring a hat-trick for Angolan club Kabuscorp against Recreativo Caala in the Angolan Girabola. For a man who turns 40 on April 19, this is a sight to behold.

Rivaldo's first goal was simple, a tap-in at the far post after some nice build-up work from his teammates. But the second was vintage Rivaldo, a long-distance free kick on the left side of the field from about 25 yards out.
The third was a cheeky chip from inside the box over an onrushing keeper. It was probably what Robin van Persie was trying to do for Arsenal against AC Milan a few weeks ago.
According to 101 Great Goals, Rivaldo's hat-trick came Saturday in the third round of the Angolan championship. Rivaldo joined Kabuscorp in January after playing for Sao Paulo in 2011.
As you probably recall, Rivaldo helped lead Brazil to the 2002 World Cup title. The Brazilians won all six of their Cup matches that year, including 2-0 over Germany in the final. Rivaldo scored five goals in that tournament, including a strike in the quarterfinals against England.
Rivaldo last played for Brazil in 2003. He retired with 34 goals in 74 career international appearances.
