3 Best Remaining Free Agents to Fix the Washington Redskins Offensive Line
The Redskins' lack of activity addressing their weak offensive line so far in free agency, continues to puzzle and frustrate. One by one, high-profile linemen like Evan Mathis and Ben Grubbs and good scheme fits like Mike Brisiel have all signed elsewhere.
With kcchiefs.com reporting that the Kansas City Chiefs have signed right tackle Eric Winston, Washington's options are fast running out.
Here are the three best available free agent linemen left for the Redskins to choose from:

Colts Release Kenny Moore

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Anthony Collins, OT, Cincinnati Bengals
Collins is a youngster with plenty of versatility and potential. The 26-year-old right tackle has often struggled in obscurity behind Andre Smith and Andrew Whitworth for the Bengals.
Yet whenever he has been given a chance, Collins has not disappointed. He held Houston Texans pass-rusher Brooks Reed without a sack in Week 14 of last season.
Collins is at his best in pass protection, an area where incumbent starter Jammal Brown regularly struggles.
Athleticism is a key requirement of linemen in Mike Shanahan's offense and Collins offers superior mobility to Brown and is versatile enough to play either side.
Mike Pollak, OG, Indianapolis Colts
Pollak is never going to dominate defenders physically. However, he is a natural finesse lineman who could excel in Shanahan's system.
The 27-year-old has the size and quickness to meet the demands of Washington's zone-based blocking approach. The 6'3" 301-pounder can operate very effectively in space.
Like Collins, Pollak is a developing lineman, eager to prove himself as a regular starter. With the right coaching, he could become an accomplished left guard for the Redskins.
Kory Lichtensteiger's injury struggles create the need for more options at the position. Signing Pollak would free up Lichtensteiger to compete with Will Montgomery for the center job.
Whoever loses that competition would provide excellent depth for two key areas of the line.
Demetrius Bell, OT, Buffalo Bills
Yesterday this author wrote about what Demetrius Bell can bring to Washington's front five. He is a solid blocker, technically refined and versatile enough to play at either tackle position.
A basketball player in high school and college, Bell possesses the range and athleticism to adapt to the Redskins' zone schemes quickly. The 27-year-old could slide over to right tackle or even move inside and add a more physical presence to the left guard position.
Bell is perhaps the one marquee lineman left in this year's free agent class. The Redskins should quickly follow up their interest and add him to the ranks.
The Washington Redskins simply cannot let the opportunity to fix their offensive line pass them by in this free agency period. These players are all young, scheme-suitable targets who would improve both the quality and depth of the existing group.
Upgrading the skill positions is important and necessary. However, failing to equip the offense with a line stout enough to help the unit function effectively, will render signings such as Pierre Garcon and trading up to draft Robert Griffin III meaningless.
