Bayern Munich: Champions League Spoiler Alert
Barcelona and Real Madrid will no doubt dominate discussions about today’s Champions League draw, a rivalry that has had many chapters written over the last few months.
The reigning champions enjoy success against their rivals on the most part, however Jose Mourinho’s side are upsetting the odds by proudly sitting atop of La Liga by 10 points.
However, whilst people say we could see the two best teams in the world, with the two best players, in one of the best stadiums fight it out for one of club football's biggest honours, if not the biggest, Bayern Munich could yet prove to be the party crashers.

Progress
Marseille are next up for Jupp Heynckes' men, which will be no easy task after the French side knocked out Italian giants Inter Milan.
Brandao secured their progress from the bench, and not even Steve Mandanda’s late send off could change the tide.
With the second leg heading back to Germany though, you would have to say the odds are heavily stacked against L’OM.
Especially after the 7-0 demolition handed out to FC Basle this week, which saw Mario Gomez net four times.
Strength
The one thing that could count in their favour though is hunger; hunger to reach the showpiece final that will be held in their very own Allianz Arena home.
Is it not something every fan and player dreams of, to either lift or see your heroes lift a trophy, crowning them as Europe’s best for that season?
Add to the mix the strength that currently sits within their ranks and it is hard to see why Bayern Munich couldn’t go all the way, despite other teams that lie in the way, and some quarters declaring "who’s going to stop Lionel Messi?"
From back to front, Bayern is a very accomplished squad, solid at the back with Manuel Neuer between the sticks and the likes of Jerome Boateng and the enigmatic Phillip Lahm patrolling in front.
Bastian Schweinsteiger has transformed himself into a superb ball winning midfielder, whilst at times Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery can be unplayable.
Add Mario Gomez and Thomas Muller, and there are very good reasons why Bayern could become only the third ever team to lift the famous trophy on home soil, behind Real Madrid in 1956-57 and Inter Milan in 1964-65.
German football is going through something of a renaissance at the moment, and a Champions League triumph would be the perfect tonic to announce to the world ‘we’re back.’
