5 Crazy Predictions for the World Football Weekend
Another weekend of football approaches, and with it comes the chance for craziness.
If this week was any indication, the chaos this weekend could be colossal.
On Monday, Arsenal scored a 95th-minute winner against Newcastle, completing a comeback from 1-0 down to win 2-1.
On Tuesday, Inter drew level with Marseille in their Champions League Last 16 tie, only for both teams to score again in an eventful period of stoppage time.
And on Wednesday, Chelsea reversed a 3-1 first-leg deficit by beating Napoli 4-1 after extra time to advance to the Champions League quarterfinals.
What could possibly come next? Here are five possibilities.

Chelsea to Fall Behind
1 of 5Chelsea completed a stirring comeback Wednesday against Napoli with Branislav Ivanovic's extra-time goal. The Blues have now won three straight matches—all since former manager Andre Villas-Boas was sacked March 4.
Leicester City is next on Sunday in the FA Cup, and the fact that the Foxes are 11th in the Championship bodes well for Chelsea's chances at extending the winning streak. But after expending so much energy and emotion through 120 minutes Wednesday night, Chelsea might find the early parts of Sunday's match challenging.
Expect a slow start from Chelsea, and don't be surprised if Leicester take an early lead.
After that, though, it's hard to imagine anything other than a Chelsea win. And, hey, Fernando Torres might even… nah, never mind.
Andy Carroll to Score
2 of 5Speaking of Torres, I've given up on him. For all we know, El Niño may never score again.
But Andy Carroll? Liverpool's £35 million man has scored just six goals this season, but here's guessing this will be his weekend.
Carroll's Liverpool will play Stoke City on Sunday in the FA Cup. The Reds spanked Everton this week in the Merseyside Derby behind Steven Gerrard's stunning hat trick, so Stoke's defensive focus will probably settle on Liverpool's captain.
That could give Carroll the (admittedly large) opening he needs to score.
Bayern to Drop Points
3 of 5Chelsea won't be the only club to experience a European hangover.
Bayern Munich humiliated plucky FC Basel midweek in the Champions League. Back in the Bundesliga, the Bavarians will travel to the capital to face Hertha Berlin on Saturday.
Hertha currently sit third-bottom in the Bundesliga table with just three home wins in 12 chances. Bayern, for their part, have won five, drawn three and lost four on their travels.
Looking for a crazy result? How about a draw in this one?
Juventus to Finally Lose
4 of 5Through 27 Serie A matches, no team has been able to beat Juventus. That ends this weekend.
The Bianconeri travel to 15th-placed Fiorentina, who have won seven, drawn three and lost three at home this season. Juventus' away record is five wins, nine draws and zero defeats.
In all, Juventus have drawn 14 league games—one more than their win total—including each of their last four. Fiorentina, meanwhile, have won three of their last four at home.
Earlier this season, Juventus edged a 2-1 decision against Fiorentina in Turin.
At some point, Juventus' draws will turn into losses. This will be one of those times.
Goals in Holland
5 of 5The title race in Holland keeps getting crazier. Twente and Feyenoord have done their part, and on Sunday they'll play each other.
Third-placed Twente recently beat PSV 6-2, and they've scored four goals or more nine times in the league this season. Sixth-placed Feyenoord have scored three or more goals eight times.
The last time these two teams met, Feyenoord won 3-2 at home. The return match will have at least that many goals.
