2012 NFL Free Agents: Matt Flynn and the Top Remaining Players
With the 2012 NFL season officially underway, the free-agency pool has already thinned out quite a bit. There is still plenty of talent left, though.
Big names like Carl Nicks and Vincent Jackson have already found new homes, but some of the biggest names have yet to sign their name on a dotted line.
All of the following stars are still waiting for a home, but don’t expect the wait to be that long, because these players are the best of the best.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Matt Flynn
After having the greatest game in Green Bay Packers history (480 yards and six touchdowns), Flynn has become one of the hottest commodities on the market.
It also doesn’t hurt that he was taught under the same style that saw Aaron Rodgers emerge from the shadows of Brett Favre to become one of the best in the NFL. Teams hope the same can be said for Flynn.
With teams like the Dolphins and Browns in talks of acquiring the services of the young QB, once Peyton Manning signs, the rush to Flynn will begin.
There is no better defensive player on the board this season than former Houston Texans defensive end/outside linebacker Mario Williams.
While Houston would be wise to go after the former No. 1 overall pick, teams will be trying to make Super Mario the highest-paid defensive player in the NFL and the Texans can’t compete with that.
With the Buffalo Bills charging hard after the star defender, the inclination is that he will sign there, but not before visiting with all the teams interested.
Peyton Manning
There is no way I could have a "biggest free agents left" list without the biggest free agent of all time, Peyton Manning. Most of the offseason moves are hinged on what this one man does.
He is the biggest target on the range for many teams right now, so the longer he takes to make his decision, the more players are signed by other teams. While Manning has to do what’s best for himself, he has to think about his team.
With many teams in the mix right now, Manning will decide within the week. It will be a move to get his new career started and give his new team the best shot at remaining free agents.
