March Madness 2012 Bracket: Teams Guaranteed to Be Upset in Second Round
Unless you want to be sorely disappointing with your 2012 March Madness bracket, I highly suggest that you stay away from picking Florida, Iowa State and UNLV to move out of the second round.
They are going to be upset, and that will undoubtedly leave you upset.
The hard part with picking March Madness brackets is that you just never know. A matchup that looks like a complete wash could end up being the biggest upset of year. Consequently, a team that looks like it may fit into the Cinderella slipper could get squashed before they even have a chance.

Report: Biggest Spenders in Men's CBB 🤑
It takes a little bit of skill and a lot of luck to be a good "bracketologist".
I'm extremely wary of these next few matchups. In fact, I am calling them to be upsets, Here's why:
No. 8 Iowa State vs. No. 9 Connecticut
This may not be a huge upset considering it's a No. 9 beating a No. 8, but technically it fits the description, and writing this may save those who just pick based off of seeding a little bit of heartache.
I wouldn't count the Huskies out of this tournament. They are the defending national champions.
Sure, they aren't the same team from last year, but they still have coach Jim Calhoun, who is one of the best in the nation, and sophomore Jeremy Lamb, who is averaging 17.7 points a game. They have the experience to be able to make a run, and they can definitely beat Iowa State.
No. 7 Florida vs. No. 10 Virginia
This upset pick comes down to one simple philosophy. Defense over offense in the tournament.
It's essentially a battle of two different coaching styles, as the Gators are more guard- and perimeter-oriented, while the Cavaliers are defensive-minded and scrappy.
I'll take defense in a one-game situation like this. Virginia should be able to shut down Florida's guards.
No. 6 UNLV vs. No. 11 Colorado
I love this Colorado team, and firmly believe they are one of the more dangerous sleeper picks in the tournament. They are very active on both sides of the ball, play great defense and rebound as a team, and they have incredible three-point shooters.
Also, he's not a big name nationally, but senior guard Carlon Brown may be one of the better players in the tournament. He's going to make a name for himself with this national exposure.
