Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Also, free agent wide receiver Brandon Lloyd is set to visit the San Francisco 49ers, and Ian Rapoport of the Boston Herald thinks that could mean the Patriots have their sights set on Pittsburgh Steelers wideout Mike Wallace.
Miami Dolphins
Perhaps the biggest news of Super Tuesday was the trade of Brandon Marshall to the Chicago Bears. B/R NFL Draft lead blogger Sigmund Bloom has the immediate impact of the trade on the draft.
The Dolphins may be fading fast from the Peyton Manning sweepstakes, but not all is lost for them. In fact, according to Ben Volin of the Palm Beach Post, it looks like the Dolphins have set up meetings with free agent tackle Eric Winston and cornerback Richard Marshall.
New York Jets
The Jets' first move of free agency was uncharacteristically small, as they brought back linebacker Bryan Thomas. Brian Costello of the New York Post writes that the Jets are now looking at the safety position, with Brandon Meriweather and Reggie Nelson in the cross-hairs.
Not really news, more comic relief than anything: Jets general manager Mike Tannenbaum said the Jets "passed on" Peyton Manning, according to ESPN's Rich Cimini. That's the sports equivalent of saying, "You can't break up with me, I'm breaking up with you first!"
Buffalo Bills
The Bills are the front-runners for Mario Williams, but one question remains: Can they close the deal?
Mark Gaughan of the Buffalo News writes that the Bills may not have any real competition in the market.
Bills running back Fred Jackson has an interesting method for landing Williams: Lock down the airport. B/R featured columnist Gary Davenport has the story.
