How Brandon Marshall Trade Affects Dolphins' Pursuit of Peyton Manning
The breaking news of Brandon Marshall's trade to the Chicago Bears makes it clear that Peyton Manning isn't going to be a member of the Miami Dolphins in 2012. In fact, if I were trying to lure a future Hall of Fame quarterback to my team, the last thing I'd be doing is trading away the best receiver on the roster.
Apparently, Stephen Ross didn't read that chapter in the "How to Win a Championship" manual.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
"Major scoopage! The Chicago Bears have agreed to terms of a trade w Miami for pro bowl WR Brandon Marshall in exchange for 2 third-rounders.

This move defies all logic and reason, and what makes it even worse are the pieces the Dolphins received in return for the 2012 Pro Bowl MVP.
Two third-rounders? Seriously?
This is just the latest in a long list of terrible personnel decisions from the offices of Jeff Ireland and Ross.
There's absolutely no way Manning would even consider joining up with an organization that is as dysfunctional and run so haphazardly as the Dolphins.
What's next? Will they now ship off Jake Long for a couple of fourth-rounders?
All I know is that the Dolphins really shot themselves in the foot with this one, and Joe Philbin has got to be wondering if he made the right decision to become the head coach.
The only thing Dolphins fans can hope for now is that the team lands Matt Flynn via free agency or lands Ryan Tannehill in the draft. Otherwise, it's going to be a long, hard year of disappointment and misery.
